I masturbate since i was 12 years old. 4 years ago some indigestion problems begun and after a year i could not eat well, i had constipation, gas, bloating and i was tired all the time. I was pale and i lost many pounds. I did some blood tests and all were normal(although i did not do thyroid test). Even though i did not really had any sexual desires and my penis was semi hard i didn't stop masturbating. 7 days ago i stopped masturbating and my digestion after 5 days improved dramatically. Also i have much more energy and for the first time after months i had a great workout. Also today after 7 days i had a strong morning erection but only one. Nobody tells us that overmasturbation messes your digestion. Also i i will do some thyroid tests next week. I think overmasturbation messes your hormones and i 've read that without dopamine you can't digest well.
I've always had bad IBS. And as it's as much related to stress and anxiety, as much as diet, it does help when cutting out PMO. As that improves social aniexty and awkwardness. My IBS has improved too, but often bad when am looking at imagery. Keep going with cutting out PMO, as does help.
People seem think quitting masturbation solves all your problems and cures all your ailments. While I agree it does solve certain issues, people tend to take it a little too far.
It doesn't solve everything but lot of issues are related to Dopamine. Regulation of Dopamine through stopping PMO brings many benefits.
There are so many negatives that it does cause though. Sperm retention has been proven to improve overall health and well-being. Every time you release, you’re depriving yourself of essential vitamins and nutrients that you’d otherwise reabsorb through your semen. It’s not “taking it too far” if after abstinence you notice all of these benefits. Even if they’re a placebo, they’re still very real to you.
Not always. Passing off everything as “just a placebo” is just as ignorant as claiming none of them are a placebo.
I suffer from IBS and stomach or digestion issues are directly correlated to levels of stress there is research done by countless people and now that we know of dopamine being related to stress a high amount of dopamine or a low amount of dopamine is bad for digestion and overall health. sleep apnea or other sleeping problems simply means body is in constant fight or flight mode hence digestion takes a hit because your body is forcing itself to stay awake. I am a night person by default but i believe that work in the day and sleep at night is the best way to live your life.
Believe me, he is not wrong about the digestion’s issues. I myself and many others have had the stomach symptoms whilst pmo’ing for years only for it to vanish completely like myself around the third month. Never underestimate the power of post acute withdrawal syndrome.
Hey guys. I really need help concerning a similar problem, because I'm really confused and worried, and I need an answer. I'm 26 years old, male. I've been masturbating for at least 10 years, daily, (masturbating every second day, at least). I've been diagnosed with IBS since I was 18. But back then masturbating didn't affect me in any way negative. Now recently (near the end of April) I was hit with a bad IBS flare that went on and off through May and June. I'm still experiencing the IBS flare, and I noticed that when I masturbate, within 2 days, I come down with increased/worsened symptoms. Excessive gas, bloatedness, frequent bowel movements, discomfort/pain/cramps in upper and lower abdomen. This will be the 3rd time in this IBS flare episode that my symptoms become worse after masturbating. (I did lessen my masturbation since I suspected this weird connection) I just need to know if its possible that masturbation worsens IBS symptoms. If so, how/why? Please help.
I agree that screwing up your Dopamine does have a lot of side effects but pmo is not the only thing that can do that so beware.
