Why watch cp? The fact that you don't like it illustrates the answer. Over time he decided he liked it. I don't like black tar heroin. I don't know why people like it. However, I drink far more coffee than is healthy for my body. One drug has very severe ramifications, whereas the other does not.

In comparison, some people like different varieties of pornography and sex. Some are legal, some are not. The ramifications of what we take into our eyes, ears, and minds vary. CP has very severe legal and emotional ramifications. His addiction had become so severe that he had turned down that very dark alley.

I also encourage you to consider that many people who struggle with PMO have very long life stories that explain how they got where they are. They are disgusted with themselves and wish desperately to find freedom. That's one of the reasons they come here, and it's also a reason that your question is not that helpful. Shame is what keeps people addicted in the shadows. Let's encourage each other to leave this behind by wishing each other well. So, on that note, I'm glad you do not like cp, and that you have had 73 days of freedom. I wish you the best and continued success. Thank you for contributing to the conversation, and for sharing your success with us!

What saddenes me the most is the massive injustice...an innocent man gets prison for life and there are rapists who get an easier sentence...how the fuck did they decide that he is equally as dangerous as an actual child rapist...?
I would have been willing to put my money that this guy would have never touched a kid inapropriately.

Wow, law is weird. What if somebody would send me images of themselves, naked? Would I get into problems, even if I didn't actually agree to get the images?
I'm sorry if you think I'm derailing your thread.

Not really derailing, but instead just showing some of the ramifications of the problem. If you have an underage friend who sexts you and you are 18, you are pandering in CP and it is prosecutable. Even if the person who sent you the image was 17 and you were not pursuing them. The laws really are problematic.

Well, he was not exactly innocent. He possessed illegal material. However, he never touched anyone inappropriately, that much was true. You are right about the laws being unequal in their punishments. Regardless, I think the main point of the initial post was that porn leads us down paths we don't think we'll ever go on. I for one am sick of its results.

finally my saying has been conformed. As I always say, PMO IS A DEMON. A LIVING ONE. Al I need never to watch porn or M is to think of the priceless things I've lost. My pretty girlfriend
    my self confidence
    my self esteem
    my sharp mind
    my good looks
    and so much more.

He was innocent because he did not hurt anyone.
I don't give a jack shit about what the government considers legal or illegal.

I don't want to derail the intent of the thread. I'm both mad and sad too. However, the point for me was not to moralize porn use in any particular way, but instead to point out that porn does not direct us in healthy directions. Legal or not legal is just a side discussion. It's a slippery slope into worse and worse stuff.

    I will remember this story.

You know where the word scape-goat comes from? The Jews used to take a goat to a hill and sacrifice him to God if they made a sin. So its a metaphor here for what your friend was to the law... Meanwhile Porn is evil period... So how does one evil act supersede the other? And now your friend suicided because they ruined his life. I Don't blame him for doing it.... That is so much pressure..... too much! Society is the fault !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You would only get into problems legally if you stored the naked images. If you simply delete them then they are not on your phone or other electronic device(s). Don't worry.

When you're addicted to some hardcore drug, your tolerance will change and you'll have to up the dosage. Porn acts the same way. It escalates. I hope this thread will never die. It should be mandatory class. Sad story.
