That's cool bro I appreciate the post,. I understand exactly what you mean about SR, I stumbled upon it by accident searching on here for a cure for death grip back in 2017. Cured that thank God. SR is not something I've spoken about here in well over 2 years as I've failed so many times trying. Its good to know that you also understand the benefits from SR, I'll also be respectful and.refrain from talking about it here. Cheers

Checking in. Things are going well for the most part. Something that resonates with me and that I'm really working on is the idea of making decisions based on values instead of emotion. The workshop on Recoverynation has you make a list of values and then prioritize maybe the top 10 or so. When a difficult moment arises, I can look at the list or at least think about it and realize that what I decide to do in that difficult moment should be based on those values. The emotions will come and go but if you can build a life with value-based decision making, you can achieve lot more and ideally change the way the brain operates.
I love this and can see how having deeply rooted values that you are grounded with can make it easier to whether the storm of urges.
Checking in. Things are going well, I am in the right mind/heart set for this at the moment. The truth is I just don't want this in my life anymore. It has taken so much from me over the years, I'm done, I'm not willing to pay the price anymore and thankfully I have clarity, I am out of the madness of doing the things I don't want to do. Thanks to the Grace of God.
