I bet the solution is very simple. There's NOTHING or very little you can do about it. They just COME and GO. We need to ignore them. I mean they have some root in our thoughts and convictions and it would be easier to shake them if you knew your cognitive error. However, discovering the error may take decades unless someone looks at you objectively and tells you that you're wrong. Anyway, the negative thoughts and feeling come and go. They are triggered by events that are similar to our past. They serve as a warning of the distant past that is no longer valid but we persist to stick with that childhood thoughts and convictions.
