Replacing the habit with another

    It's been a tough day. I seem to have replaced the habit with a stupid game on my phone- it's called Wordament if anyone does feel like it! So whenever I feel a bit hazy I switch it on and play 10 even 20 rounds. It's better than porn (much better), but I want to get a habit which I really don't mind.

    I am going to try out reading a lot more, just force myself on my kindle away from the laptop and phone screen - it does wonders for general self improvement and most of my reading comes from a blue light screen.

    anyone got any other 'healthy' habits they are trying to get to usurp PMO?

    Hey man I definitely know the struggle. I Would definitely recommend running. Reading for me has been good and bad. Good in a sense that I can healthily stimulate my brain and bad because I can also get distracted and daydream and then fantasize. I would try to pick a habit where you have to be active. One of the problems with porn and masturbation is the isolation. A team sport such as intermural soccer or basketball would help. Also volunteering and giving back. I enjoy hiking and being in the outdoors and feeling like a man in general. If you are serious about reading I would read the book Wild at Heart. It changed my life. Good luck man. If I can offer one more bit of advice, don't plan on doing these thing, because you never will. You just have to get up and do it.
