Question for people with long streaks and possible triggers:

Recently deleted every bit of P I had been holding on to for years, but, without going into too much detail, kept the stuff my wife and I made on my phone. Don’t plan on looking at it until I can rewire the neural pathways, but do you think this could be a dangerous “gateway” back into P even way down the road (months or years from now) once I’ve reset?

If the stuff you and your wife made is similar in nature to the things you enjoy in pornography, there is possibility it will eventually not become enough for you and you will seek new content later.
However, nobody can answer what the effect will be on your situation in particular. It’s a risk. If you want to be rid of porn, is having these videos worth the risk of a relapse? Is it possible your wife could keep the videos and photos for your family, instead of you?

As someone that has had multiple streaks of over a year, I never got triggered by the knowledge of dirty videos of exes on a hard drive somewhere. There's unlimited porn at your fingertips everyday, you learn to control yourself.
