Please be careful and dont post personal contact info here. Not unless you want the whole world to see it. This is a very public forum with high potential for bad actors. If someone wants an AP, I recommend keeping it on this site and/or posting and intro and getting to know a long-time user here first.
I’m fine posting personal info here, I wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t feel comfortable doing it. I’m not going to get better by hiding it. Did I violate a rule by offering a way for an AP to get into contact with me? I appreciate the advice, but it was unnecessary to basically tell me not to do something just because you wouldn’t or to assume how comfortable I am with being open about my addiction. I honestly feel a bit attacked/ insulted by this comment even if it wasn’t intended, I promise I am intelligent enough to understand my actions. Also, I can’t share my information in a more private way, direct messaging won’t work for some reason on here for me. Otherwise I would DM my info to connect with an AP, as it’s preferable, but not an option is all.
fair enough. I'm not a mod and wasn't trying to control your life. I just see some younger people on here (the post above yours is from someone that is 16) that might not know the risks involved sharing personal info in a place like this. There are some threads warning about it from the mods, so I'm passing that warning along. It's good to not always hide your recovery. but also, you probably want to be in control of that. Getting doxx'd can add new harm to an already difficult recovery process.

Thanks for saying that, and apologies if I got overly offended. It think it only came across forceful to me as you started with a line about telling me straight up what not to do, so it made me defensive. I do appreciate your intention was to be helpful & you’re looking out for the younger members on here by offering advice of that nature.
