So I just relapsed again. I've realized that I'm most susceptible to relapses and urges are late at night or before I go to bed.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to fight these urges later at night WITHOUT doing some time of physical activity? I really don't wanna amp myself up before I go to bed is why I ask. Thank you

I'm definitely no expert, but here's my two cents. First up, I'm going to assume you don't live alone - roommate, family, etc. - cause that's all the experience I can speak from. One way to overcome it is to place your handphone/laptop/whatever you use to view P away from your bed. Not so far that it's unreachable in case of a legitimate emergency, but a distance away that having to go to it takes significant effort. I used to place my phone on the counter right next to my bed, but I always get tempted in that situation. I eventually just placed it on the top of my bookshelf. If I ever crack, I'll need to climb up from my bed, walk approximately five steps, and tip-toe before I'll be able to even have my mobile phone in my hand. Plus it's awesome if you have an issue with alarm clocks. I also find that stopping your Internet/television consumption an hour (minimally) before you sleep helps significantly in prepping your body ready for bed. This way you are more relaxed and less likely to lay about in bed bored.

If your gripe is more about fighting the urge to M, what I found worked for me is sleeping with the door partially or even fully open. I know it's not the best option for everyone - especially if you are living in a college dormitory or treasure your own privacy immensely. But being exposed will often lessen your thoughts about M because you know... it sucks to get caught by someone else. Alternatively, if it fits within your schedule, you can work out a few hours (minimally 4) before you go to bed. This way, the alertness that comes along with exercise runs out and leaves you fatigued - just in time for you to crash!

It's a bitch, but I'm sure you will eventually get the hang of it. Let's continue to strive for excellence. All the best dude.
