Howdy, folks! I'm 25 years old and have been using PMO as a way to cope and experience short-term pleasure since I was 11. I've made attempts at quitting in the past, only to be increasingly discouraged by repeated relapse. I am in a stage of transition in my life. 2 years clean and sober, a month into college, taking greater responsibility for my contribution to my life and the world around me. I have been PMO free for 4 days, and am eager to make it past the 7 day mark (where I normally relapse). I aim to complete a hard mode 90 day reboot. The resources on NoFap have been super helpful. I am grateful to be a part of this community. I'd like to hear from those of you wIth long-term abstinence from PMO...how did you do it?

There was one summer two years ago where I was clean like you, but I also NEVER masturbated or used porn. I must say that I've never been so content and at peace with my life. I looked at other people who were looking for a party to get wasted because they were "bored" every single day of their life with disgust, but also with empathy because I was in the same place before. All I did that summer was exercise, go to the beach, and hang out with people every day. I know this is long, but I'm telling you that your life will be DRAMATICALLY improved. You can do this, man. It's ****ing worth it.

Welcome to NoFap where you are amongst friends who are here to encourage you and sometimes challenge you but not judge you.

What are your current strategies for combating the enemy called PMO?

Sobriety is a day by day journey. It's not a sprint but a daily beginning where you enjoy the successes of yesterday or learn from the setbacks from yesterday but realize that today is new - each day is new and must be treated that way.
