I suffer from depression and schizophrenia. What helps me is aromatherapy. I burn incense in my room; it calms me down and gets me into a spiritual state of mind. You can use candles instead, but I prefer incense. Just make sure to have a window open so that the smoke can escape. Otherwise the smoke will irritate your eyes and that's no fun. Give it a shot, mate.
