I was struggling a lot this morning with urges for pmo but I kept my promise to do my anti anxiety strategies and it worked to hold off my urges. I then put a plan into action to go for a walk and to listen to calming music. Then I will have lunch and get into my piano practice for today. One of the keys for the anxiety course I'm doing is to call out the anxiety for what it is, unhealthy and unhelpful lies. It's the same for pmo thoughts. Call it out, making it clear I don't want these thoughts anymore, and then move onto a distraction or something interesting to do to get my mind off the pmo thinking track.

Day 1

2 nights ago I was drinking and then yesterday I didn't feel well from that. I really tried to overcome the pmo urges and I resisted for hours and then finally relapsed. The sensations of the hangover somehow was a hard trigger for pmo urges so I need to be more careful about that.

 

Day 4

I'm gonna be travelling to the state of North Carolina for the first time ever. I'm gonna be visiting my family there for only one week.

 

Okay, day 0, guess I am a low class warrior now

 

Thats a good head start. You wont be relapsing when you are traveling and visiting fammily, right?
