Is er*tic literature as bad as video or photo p*rnography? Do you avoid these stories personally? What do you recommend others do?

I guess erotic literatures could be a big trigger, and reading them easily escalates to PMO. I look away whenever I see any of them by chance so as to play safe.

I would say that you don't get from them as high dopamine hit, than from prnz, but they certainly be a craving triggers, which could make a bit harder to resist a more intense craving. I would avoid them, at least at the first few critical days when starting NoFap ( which would be about 3 days to a week).

  4. I would listen to erotic literature on audiobooks. Just listening to it didn't trigger me too much, but what I eventually ended up doing was putting it on while I jacked off. I would cue it up to the sex scenes and then work myself to match as closely as I could to what was happening in the story; or just listen and work myself to cum at the right time in the story. It was something that started unexpectedly, kind of a "what if" scenario. But then I kept going back to the same books and the same scenes and edging and cumming over and over. It became a real problem that sort of sneaked up on me. Thankfully, I hadn't been doing it for too long when I realized what a problem it had become. And I was able to stop without much difficulty.
