Are you referring to the notification thing? You can go into your alerts preferences and turn it off, by unchecking what things you get alerted for.

No bro, I'm talking about following people. For example, if I follow 30 people they all show in my home screen in the top of the members when they are active online only. Can I turn that off too???

The thing is if I only follow those people who not show online than those who show online may feel bad. That's why I don't follow many people.

I know what you mean. It’s why I don’t follow anyone! On of the negative aspects that I’m trying to change is being a people pleaser, so the follow thing is bad territory for me. I don’t care if someone doesn’t like that, but that’s their emotional problem they need to deal with. If they want to unfollow then that’s fine.
