After 18 days I freaking relapsed again...

    So far 2016 has been difficult. I really wanted to do no PMO for 30 days and I failed for the second time. I wasn't going hard mode, because I haven't done that for a year and I'm not ready to start like that again, and unfortunately, I did looked at some porn and masturbated here and there. It's so hard, but what can I do?

    At least I made it 18 days without PMO (there was a little PM)! That's better than last time which was last January. I made it only 8 days. It's about time I should be less hard on myself and appreciate my accomplishments thus far. There's no point in beating myself over it.

    I will do my third attempt at 30 days of no PMO and finally beat my record of 39 days, and then my goal for 45 days for the new year. Wish me luck!

    Well I've been on Nofap for a year now. I've installed mobicip on my phone and K9 on my laptop. And, I haven't looked at porn ever since. However, I would occasionally look at sub-porn on YouTube (I blocked this website and many others by my brother's help). The only problem I have right now is an old phone which has given to my parents by another brother...

    I definitely relate to your struggles, I have never made it to 30 days myself. I have a tendency to be hard on myself every time I relapse which is not good either. I commend you on getting up and not giving up the fight while not beating yourself up about falling!

    Stay strong guys. What helps me is the thought that PMO brought me so much unhappiness. No amount of "fun" can substitute lost relationships. If you went through that then use it as a motivation (never ever I will be embarrassed in front of a girl), if not, then learn from our experience.

    18 days is a great accomplishment. The main thing is you don't give up. I used to PMO multiple times a day for years. Now, its more like 6-8 times every 30 days.

    Just focus on how much good your doing and start to recognize your triggers. For me, it's not eating or sleeping enough, which leads to stress. PMO is a quick fix, but it always has its own set of negative consequences.

    If you feel like you're going to relapse, shut off all your electronic devices and go have a snack or take a nap or go for a walk or drive. The urge will burn itself out.

    Willpower is limited so you have to take other measures to get around the bend.

    And, remember, you just gave to get through the next minute, then the one after that. Break down the day into pieces.
