    Hi NoFappers,

I just relapsed after 14 days. I was browsing porn, for 5 h in a row again and began to masturbate and edging, I didn't came.
It's actually quite surprising, since I had wet dreams with orgasms the last days before relapse after a long time again. I thought this would reduce the urges.

At least 14 days, not bad for the first time trying that, I think.

I think I'm narrowing down my problem:
Watching porn in general is not the biggest problem for me, I think if I'd watch some porn on TV or from a HD from time to time, it would not be such a big problem. Luckily I haven't had ED and everything till now.

The actual problem for me is combination of internet and porn. I begin to waste hours just browsing porn all the time, trying to find more gorgeous and different chicks. [NSFW]And all of that just to wank and come on those tasty new pussies.[/NSFW] So the classical coolidge effect which can go crazy on the web is the problem. I waste so much time ignoring every other important thing. I installed a web blocker already[NSFW], but still, I unlocked it to wank on new wet pussies.[/NSFW] It's really some kind of obsessive since I waste literally hours in a row doing that. It wouldn't be so bad when I'd do that 30 Minutes ones/twice a week or something like that.
I think I'll generate a very complex password and will throw/delete the password then. I won't have any chance to browse porn on my computer then...

    Thanks for reading.

    Hi cheekybrah,

First I'm sorry for your loss of 1 minute.

I won't justify or explain what I wrote now. I'm just saying that I'm going to keep on sharing my experiences and thoughts, especially after a relapse. And I really don't care how stupid or pointless my writings are then. I think this platform is just awesome to share those experiences and thoughts about everything regarding porn, fapping etc.

To answer your question and make your post a bit more constructive: Many people here still watch porn, even when they are on NoFap. Otherwise they wouldn't have such a problem and wouldn't write here on nofap.com ... Just FYI.

Again: Sorry for wasting your precious time.

    Peace,
    SuperKrishna44

There's no need to be so 'holier than thou' about it cheekybrah! You did the same thing 8 days ago. We are all in the same boat with this. :(

I think I may have misunderstood or misread OPs post a bit.
I thought he said he was watching porn for 5 hours and then after that relapsed (as in O)implying that watching the 5hrs of porn in itself was not a relapse.

As for the rest of the post, I don't see how 30m of porn once a week could be any good to you OP.
Ofcourse it's not as bad as spending hours a day but in the end it's still a negative influence.

OK cheekybrah, but we must endeavour to be accommodating, especially for those just settling in here. In fact, he says: "I think I'll generate a very complex password and will throw/delete the password then. I won't have any chance to browse porn on my computer then..." So, his intention is to cut out all porn and we should say to him, "Well done SuperKrishna44". :)

    Hello, SuperKrishna44.

My short and friendly message: your goal should be to _quit_ PMO, not to reduce or control it.

    Quit as in quit _forever_.

PMO is a destructive addiction. If you don't decide to quit, it comes roaring back.

Just my two cents. I wish you the best!

    Hi SuperKrishna44!

What I would suggest doing is testing out that blocking before throwing away the password. I've gone into the router and set up blocking but some how still able to find a way around it. Set it up and make sure it works before deleting/throwing away anything. I've also been able to set a timer so that at a certain time the computer shuts down, so I'm not on late at night when the distractions and inclinations are high. Knowing that someone will be checking in at a certain hour to make sure things are going well also helps.

Just my two cents - hope it helps! Good luck!

    Hello SuperKrishna44

Though you are now trying to quit, I regret to inform you that you are still mentally attached to porn. I have highlighted my reasoning for this using 'Not Safe for Work' tags in a quote of your original post.

If you want to quit, you need to let go of all that "tasty" content you have indulged in in the past. I'm afraid to say, that if (given the chance) you are watching porn for 5 hours a day, obsessing over the next image or the next video to get 'the perfect rush', porn cannot be a part of your new life. You have become addicted to PMO. You said it yourself- you don't want to waste all that time- yet when an urge comes, it may seem impossible to resist. Sound familiar?

The best thing to do is to create a strong resolve, that porn can no longer be a part of your life anymore. There is no point thinking you could watch 30mins a week. Firstly, what would the point be in that? Secondly, 30mins can so easily turn into an hour, then two hours... etc. If you are watching any sort of porn, you are opening yourself up to relapse.

Porn blockers can only go so far. Yes, you can generate a password and then delete it or whatever, but at the end of the day- K9 will not stop you from watching porn. Only you can stop your future self from watching porn.

Fourteen days is a great first streak man! Keep up the good work! :)

    Thanks for your input guys!

    @NoBrainer:

You're so right, my mind knew that before, so no regrets needed :) I think I'm beginning to really feel that I'm addicted. I knew it before, as my mind knew it, but now my heart ( I know that sounds a bit corny ;) ) really begins to feel and understand that.
I was thinking that I could handle that like a non addicted person. Like people who are not addicted to alcohol can still drink alcohol, right? But alcoholics should never touch alcohol again after withdrawal. I think it's the same with me and porn, I've the symptoms of an addiction, so I should never touch it again to get cured.

Somehow I'm really sad about it, not because of the addiction, but because I can't enjoy what a non addicted person can do. I feel kind of constrained, not normal, not a healthy person. Even if it might be a really good thing to avoid porn forever and the recovery would make me feel much better I'd still feel sick. Same with alcohol: I think I would be sad, when I never could have a beer anymore.

I think I really have to face it: When I'm addicted once I'll be "sick" forever, since I should never touch the addictive stuff again, else there will be a high chance of a complete relapse. A normal person could do that without having problems and much lower risks of an addiction.

It's soooo hard to really accept all of that. I think I'm just at the beginning of the accepting phase. It really takes time to come to a fully accepting level without feeling bad about it.
