Hello everyone, On August 8, I will be 6 months clear of PMO. Here's a couple things I've noticed: 1) Ive never had such a clear mind. I can focus like I never have and am doing WAY better in school. 2) I'm present in the moment, and not lost in a fog. As a result I'm much more active and engaged in my surroundings. 3) I have a huge drive to be social, and can actually be fully engaged and focused on a conversation now. 4) OCD/ Anxiety down 95%. These symptoms are much easier to manage now or are completely gone altogether. 5) I have a much clearer picture of women. Objectification way down, feel like I have a clear idea of the girl I want to be with. 6) I am much more emotionally stable and aware. Feel very consistent emotionally. 7) I am so much more aware of the objectification of women in our society. Before I wouldn't bat an eye at a "sexy" ad, and now I can't believe how much of it is ALL over the place. This has caused me to stop watching tv, remove facebook etc. It makes me sick honestly. 8) Energy levels, libido, manhood levels are up 5000%. Ive never felt better than I do right now Heres some other things I strongly advise: 1) DO NOT REGULARLY MO AFTER 90 DAY CHALLENGE IS COMPLETE. This will constantly be "lighting up" your PMO brain circuits and will severely dampen or reverse recovery. 2) If you are a partier/ drinker, take at least a month off of drinking or doing drugs/ tobacco/ whatever. This really helped to clear my mind, reduce anxiety, and get a clear grip on my recovery. 3) Steer clear of un necessary internet/ tv/ anything with advertisements. Our culture sprays us with sexual images EVERYWHERE. Women's bodies are used constantly to sell products. The less of this you see, the better your recovery. I have never been so happy and clear minded ever in my life. NEVER will I ever think about PMO again. I hope this motivates some of the younger guys on here. Getting off of PMO will completely change your life if you have the discipline to follow it.
I'm 4 months in and still haven't really felt any "superpowers", and my libido is still low. Sometimes I worry if I'll ever get out of this flatline-like period.
@NoneForMeThanks Respect man, once that you have not surrendered... second time for your opinions... I see it similarly especially those points 1-3.... With this part: "Getting off of PMO will completely change your life if you have the discipline to follow it." you hit a nail on the head. For me there is additionally much better memory + faster and better understanding of things + much better logical thinking...
Great to hear and very inspirational. I've gone a month or so and had relapses, but really felt great and focused and got stuff done during that time. You all are right about the tv/ net/etc. Little triggers everywhere. Keep it up.
Hey man, for some people its going to take a while. Don't underestimate how bad of an effect porn has had on your brain over the years. Focus on improving other areas of your life as well. The longest reboot I've heard of took 2 years so just accept that you may be in for the long haul. I myself am only 1 month in bit I already get the feeling that im going to be a long rebooter. However long it takes us bro. I mean, what's the alternative? Just remember you are not alone. Keep up the good work. Four months is a good effort so far!
Thanx for your encouraging thread. Am on day 92 and Hope that I will soon have a clear mind like yours. Big up.
Congrats bro ! I am almost one month into my own reboot, and I feel way more grounded, strong and connected. Let's keep it up !
I am on day 2 but i am feeling really strong with this community! Its like having a powerful light in a dark tunnel, guiding my way out of this scary place called porn!
