I am giving you information that I have received from a trustworthy doctor. These are some of the effects of ejaculation.

It's pretty disrespectful the way you're answering here. Don't you want to believe it? Go to your family doctor and let them tell you that you have to masturbate to not get prostate cancer.

    Wake up.

So you haven't masturbated or watched porn for 4.5 years anyway. You're not doing it anyway. What does a doctor's recommendation have to do with it?
One doctor will say that masturbation is harmful, another that it is useful.

Yes? And? Which doctor is telling the truth?

  4. Great idea! @mentorr

That's the exact thing I'm doing - tracking down my progress, just like @Experiment1996 !

By tracking the PAWS Reduction Progress - I can deal with it in a better way.

This is why this thread is really awesome - we learn from each other how to deal with the same issue!

Stay strong my brothers , we'll make it through this!

have a nice life guys. wish you all the best and i hope you will come out of the flatline soon. you‘re still deep in the matrix. i thought i can bring you out of it but it seems that you like living in your comfort zone. if thats what you want then ok.

i understand the guys who leave the forums when they achieve a high number. the people on this sub are purely ignorant and don‘t use their minds.

chemical imbalance was never proven by any doctor but you still believe it. i was the same in the first 4 years. you will understand my words when your streak is high enough.

Chemical imbalance is true. Psych patients can be treated from their psychosis or other symptoms from their illness. Why do you think we finally have a treatment for schizophrenia, it's because the theory is true, and science is right. We don't have to contradict science all the time.

Guys whatever you do, please don't do nofap in soft mode in PAWS. You'll be in constant misery. I had a paws reduction when I went around 20 days. Was relapsing before and felt really bad the entire time.

The brain and body are a complex ecosystem. It's not all about chemical imbalance or doing NoFap.
Take a guy doing semen retention for years, healthy and give him a bunch a heavy drugs while he still being celibate and watch his brain become a mess.
Take a healthy guy and take him to a war for years where he sees so much chaos and destruction he develops heavy Post Traumatic Strees Disorder. This one is even worse because is not caused by physical problems. At least all we have to do is abstain and we will heal. Emotional problems require therapy, sometimes for years.

    Hello folks,

I am day 190 in a row of no PMO and with total abstinence.

My male function has started to return over the past couple of weeks which I did not expect.

The PAWS symptoms were very strong for a while with anhedonia, brain fog, depression, apathy, low energy.

I still struggle with low energy but seems like a significant PAWS symptoms reduction occurred over the last month or so. I know that the symptoms can come back at any time. It seems like the PAWS symptoms come in waves..

In my experience, PAWS symptoms can be relieved in the short-term. What works for me: hot baths, cold showers, moderate exercise and other methods.

So it really seems that when we're close to 6 months we get a very tangible big step forward... nice.

I've been tracking my progress for the past 4.5 years. In that time until now, I have 84% days of abstinence. On paper, this looks like a good effort. But I'm still not recovered from PIED, I'm currently in a flatline (now on day 38).

I know the only way to recover is a total reboot. But do the 84% days of abstinence count for anything? Is there a difference between someone with 0% days of abstinence and 84% days of abstinence in the past 4.5 years??

I'm trying to do a one year reboot and to stay away from PMO forever. But want to know if my past efforts count for anything...

I had approximately 10 months in soft reboot in 2022-2023 with occasional slips into M to O. The soft reboot didn't help me restore my male function and it did not help with the PIED. I am seeing first tangible signs of PIED improvement after 6+ months of continuous abstinence from PMO.

  17. I think that we need to adopt a certain philosophies, let's call them Fapstronauts Philosophies, Our perspective somehow change based on our mood and the circumstances we're dealing with, an example:

If someone have been a heavy Pr0n user and decided to quit - his perspective will be hatred toward his past life and behavor and he will consider Pr0n a bad thing.

Now let's say this same person healed after years upon years of NoFap and he dealt with PAWS, somehow along all of this - He got with some friends and these friends started talking about Sex and things related to that.

Over the course of their friendship they shared Porn Content and they started laughing at him being a backwarded person for not consuming Pr0n ( These friends could be family too or anyone you look highly into. ) and started sharing Pr0n content somehow he decided to give in ( Because psychologically we forget pain and we fall back to pleasure, I think it's human nature. )

Days on and on, he relapsed but now when he felt the pleasure and he his ideas regarding Pr0n being bad has vanished especially with his surounding friends considering this be something that is normal and everybofy does it.

With the release of dopamine and bad influence his whole perspective changes and also the pain of PAWS he went through, he cannot afford going through hell for years one more time and also PAWS is going to be much more hellish this time!

So guys, be aware that this might be your only chance to quit Pr0n for good, there is a chance that there will be no next time especially if the PAWS length is getting longer and harder.
Try to stay strong avoid it at all costs.

I think we need to develop a certain philosophy of our own, perspective on how to deal anything similar to what I mentioned and also an opinion on Pr0n and other explicit content, don't you think @mentorr ?

  18. Also - I want to ask you something:

What's your opinion on Self Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy when it comes to healing from PAWS ? I read the book of the Power of the Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy.

He talked how positive affirmation does work, and miracles do happen especially if done perperly for a long period of time.

It could be placebo effect - but it might work somehow, when we repeat something long enough the brain starts to believe it.

Thanks for reading everyone and special thanks to you @mentorr - your opinion matter a lot my dear friend!

I think the best perspective has just been trying to understand my own recovery. Understanding why I PMO’d for so long, why I developed social anxiety out of nowhere, or why my libido seemed to peak and dip all the time.

But I would say returning to PAWS should not even be an option. It should be impossible for friends to convince you to return to P. If they can, in my opinion you haven’t healed.

I dont think recovery has to be complex, it just takes realising what got you here so you don’t ever return.
