Your opinion: Failing after preparation

Discussion in 'Self Improvement' started by Deleted Account, Aug 8, 2018.

  1. Hey,

I just want to ask you on your opinion/reason for this psychological dynamics: People who prepare very well/know more tend to fail more often than people who are laid-back and don't care [in higher-pressure situations]

Of course sounds BS - but frankly this was said by an instructor from driving school (not bad one, so has little truth at least). If you prepare well and on training sessions do perfectly, you should do better than those who don't. Strangely doesn't always happen.

Could this be because of inability to handle pressure by good ones or is there something I am yet not aware of? And - your opinions?

It might also be about staying present and attentive uring lessons, you cannot day dream and think "it doesn't matter, I'll revise this later" if there is not going to be any later. Just a thought.
