I'd like to say that I was not addicted to porn. However, I have addressed that I do have a problem. I got to the point where I needed it to get aroused to masturbate to orgasm. It also became a coping mechanism for me; I'd reach for that quick and accessible dopamine fix all too often. So, some would say that this is addiction. Right now I am not struggling to stay away from porn, my big challenge is just refraining from masturbating in the mornings (I go through the night with major wood and wake up with it too. Luckily, I don't have any sexual desires during the day, which is a good thing in my line of work.
I'm giving up masturbation all together because I've bought into this sexual/mental reboot. I want to see what it does to me, if I can see and feel a change; a change that I hope to welcome. It's also an experiment that I am conducting on myself - I am giving up masturbation to test my will power. I've come to terms with realizing that with out will power and imagination one has NOTHING; porn takes both of these things away among other things. And, I really do have a sense of self worth too, (I hope this doesn't sound too arrogant) a guy like me should not need to masturbate when there are women out there willing to have sex. I've come to the conclusion that using porn is a cop-out. In nature those who are fit have opportunity to reproduce - even though humans have turned sex into something that involves far more than reproduction, I feel that sex and sexual gratification should be earned. I am on my way to earning sex.
So far giving up P, PMO and MO has helped my confidence. I feel good about having made it past 30 days on my first attempt with out a relapse. It's given me something to look forward to - I want to make it to 90 days, and I feel that only good things can come of this experience, so it also gives me hope in becoming a better man. I had always hoped to be able to quit and I've just decided that there is no better time than the present - the sooner that I start, the better and sooner I can enjoy recovery.

Thank you for your response Corcoran978 and well done on reaching 32 days! Keep going, I'm sure you will reach your 90 day goal and beyond!

How do you stop yourself masturbating in the mornings?

I think before I do it. I realize that I've been able to resist for over 30 days (the urges came to me somewhere around day 20), I tell myself that this will pass and yielding to MO is not worth the overall purpose - I am just determined to see this through. I want to know what life is like without P, PMO and MO, and I just try to imagine myself reaching the 90 days without a reset. I am ready for a change in my life and I feel that rebooting will only be the first step, possibly the hardest step, but very well worth moving towards for what is to come. I'm making this an important thing in my life and this is giving me purpose right now. I want to know that I have will power. For me this is a worthy challenge.

I can't say that i was addicted to porn but i certainly watched it often. I was doing very well without it but i can promise you road is not easy at all. You still got urges to fight, even now sometimes at night i get tempted... so you need to be strong.

I haven't watched porn in a long time but I quit MO because I feel that there is always a possibility of me getting bored and going back to porn. I also want to see how the other side effects (confidence, energy, etc.) of quitting MO impact my life.
