Why does porn prevent you from finding a real woman?

For me it's that I feel embarrassed and less of a man for continually PMO. I don't know but M really seems to suck out my life force.

i hate myself got doing it. i think this just makes me think i am an unworthy person. Just coming out of a relationship that kinda drove me back into PMO habits. I say that, but I must take full responsibility, I could have sorted it before but felt too helpless.

It boils down to hard work (with risk) and rewards.

Think about the work it takes to attract a woman you're interested in, to strike up a conversation with her, hold her interest, develop physical chemistry, build trust and rapport, go to bed with her, and have an orgasm. And throughout that entire process, you run the risk of being rejected.

But what if you could enjoy the sexual excitement and orgasm just by pushing a button? Why on earth would you go through all the trouble and risk of pursuing a real, flesh and blood partner? So we condition ourselves to rely on the quick fix, instead of working hard to get the real thing. Our brain's dopamine/reward system still gets the good feeling of sex and orgasm without any of the heavy lifting. No wonder we get addicted to it.

To some extent, it's the same dynamic with diet pills. Diet pills are a multi-billion dollar industry, even though the best weight loss advice since the beginning of time has been "eat nutritious food and exercise." People don't want to eat right and they certainly don't want to exercise--because exercising is hard! Much easier to just take a pill and walk away pretending you've just done something constructive about your weight, even though you've basically done nothing.

Like the manufacturers of diet pills, porn producers have gotten massively rich by catering to the part of our human nature that wants a quick fix, without any risk.

 

Upon reading the title, my response would be that P prevents you from being a real man.

But PMO does make people feel bad. It obviously gratifies at one level, but it makes you feel terrible at another. People go back to it not because it makes them feel good, but to escape from feeling terrible. A nasty vicious circle.

Ask not what Nofap can do for your social life, but what it can do for you.

Pmo doesn't have the feelings of guilt and shame at first. If it did there would be a lot fewer people with porn addictions. It took some time before I felt weird about it, but after that it got worse and worse. It's very easy to trick someone when they don't know there's a downside

 

This is the biggest reason I believe you feel the shame and you can't be yourself it robs you of your masculinity when doing pmo your in this weak position were you feel the shame and guilt that you begin to objectify women and then you feel consfued and it breeds even more frustration to fufuill your desires and then you start to resent people around you and women took me awhile to see the cycle

 

It doens't However, If you fap, you just have 0 confidence & courage because you fap, and probably don't take care of yourself and therefore look like shit. You probably don't ever speak to women, either(if ur a tipical fapper). These things make women avoid fappers.

 

In my experience PMO destroyed my dating in multiple ways:

1. It made me social anxious (because addiction messes up your dopamine receptors and prefrontal cortex).
2. It gave me ED, so even if I despite (1), sometimes got to sex, it gave me even lower confidence.
3. It prevented me to develop to an attractive man, and an early good career, because reward (porn) was always there, so I had no motivation.
4. It made most women don't look sexy enough, because porn was always better and easily accessible.
