Why do I feel such a big difference after noFap!? Are some people less affected?

I had a 3.5 month long streak recently and even though I relapsed, it was without P fortunately and therefore much benign. After NoFap I feel like I have reconnected with my innerself; a long time numbness, a mist, is washing away. And in retrospect I feel fapping always irritated me, I had streaks before I ever saw noFap that attest to that.
What I'm trying to say is - Is every male everwhere living with that kind of damage? or are some people, like us, are affected more and we are more likely to make this discovery of not masturbating?
I occasionally feel like a child again and the self awareness grows as I continue.

Thanks man, I agree. I just am stuck in a stressful state it seems..

  3. Interesting topic. I think we are "allergic" to the effects masturbation has to our brains - it damages some people more than others. I have mates who fap daily and are fine. I also think ejaculation is dangerous to some people and should only be done to procreate.

Lol, I think I can also be dangerous when done to procreate! Haha, I'm new, and haven't seen much difference yet, but could see potential

What do you mean dangerous to some people. As in people with addictive personalities

  6. No, they're susceptible to the hormonal effects of ejaculation which results in anxiety, depression etc. It's a sensitivity within the dopamine receptors which some people don't suffer from.

I think the word allergic is very inaccurate though. Just like every one is different, perhaps we are simply not meant/made to fap. I am definitely sure that I'm at a big disadvantage when I fap. I had up-till now never felt a genuine attraction towards a girl, but after 3 months noFap, once talking to a random girl (who I never met again) I felt like I was struck with lightning. I couldn't stop thinking about her for a day or two. Something like this I would've never felt earlier. I just always felt like stroking my 'lil man in a girl but this felt completely different. Strangely I have heard a friend describe this feeling and then I just thought what a bozo! And that friend regularly fapped!! He also described me how he gazed into the eyes of girls and I again thought ... what a bozo! But now I can feel the gaze too. That friend had hard drives filled with porn.
It's feels like my arsenal is now complete to face the world, earlier always felt compromised and not right.
I would really like to know why you feel that some people are not meant to fap and for some it's okay.

  10. Exactly; your example makes my point. Your friend faps regularly yet feels attraction to women and probably lives a fairly normal life. Alternately, when you fap it desensitises you to the point that you cannot find any member of the opposite gender attractive/crush-worthy. It's impossible for me to say "why" without doing a lot more research than I have done so far.

All I know is some people have been dealt a great hand. An orgasm is the most amazing feeling one can experience, and the fact that God has rendered some of us incapable of functioning optimally upon frequent orgasms, is simply not fair. My friends jerk off daily - they have a plethora of pornographic material and love their "hobby", just like I used to. They have great jobs, great social skills, great girlfriends and suffer no consequences detectable to a close friend such as myself. They have simply been dealt a good hand whereas we have to live within our means.

You too stay strong. You will feel yourself more vividly and deeply if you continue down this road, I promise. Streaking helps initially for the clouded mind, to see the right from the wrong. But later on the conscious mind perceives life in it's fullness and fappping goes out of the picture on it's own (along with many other incongruences).
