Title. Need explanation now.
they deleted it
Welcome to the Thought Police. smh
Check your inbox. When the mods delete a post or a thread they message the poster to explain which rules were broken.
I have explained the reason for the removal of your thread in an answer to your PM, Infinite Spirit.
Not involved in moderation decisions but damn man that's some entitlement right there. I can understand being upset or whatever. But "Need explanation now."? lol. You aren't entitled to the moderation team's time. Are you paying them or something? Are you paying for an agreed upon service? Did they promise to respond to you within an hour? I think that the mods should wait a week to respond to you.
Because I was called "homophobic " but I'm not sure now who is the one afraid of discussing homosexuality.
Oh, that biggoted thread about how homosexuals are all hiv zombies and that you shouldn't sleep with a man but "im not a homophobe" crap?
breh, have you been living under a rock for the past few decades? if you're not praising the homosexual lifestyle openly, you are an intolerant Bigot. They want you praising it with a pink feather boa. "Its raining men hallelujah its raining men"
Judging from your title and you getting so worked up I assume you did make a homophobic post. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I assume it wasn't a very good one. Moderators have a right to take down what they please especially if it's insensitive, slandering, hate speech or too controversial, hell I've had some stuff removed but that's the way it is.
Generally when a person is called out for being homophobic that's what they were being, I didn't see the post and am just assuming.
If someone is being called homophobic, chances are they’re pretty homophobic.
Oh damn and i see you're suspended temporarily too. You must've really offended somebody. Truth is, mods can delete your post for "violating the rules" which translates to somebody getting hurt by what you said and they delete it wether it's valid or not. And there's no process for that, no defense claim, no overview, nothing. Which may sound unfair initially but also is posting on here more of a right or a privilege?
It depends on how you answer that but it doesn't really matter in the end bc who cares am i right?
What was this post really about if somebody won't mind giving me a short summary. Im curious now
Homophobic isnt a real phobia. That's liberal propaganda at work.
It exists. There's a difference between not being homosexual and actively obsessing over not being homosexual. There's a difference of disagreeing with LGBT, or some LGBT initiatives, for some reason, and making your anti-homosexual crusade a major part of your daily life.
One of those is an opinion (that I disagree with, I think homosexuality is natural and has existed since the dawn of civilization and is healthy for societies). I think that how we treat these minority groups is reflective of the moral health of our society. And I'm also convinced that almost everyone who obsesses about speaking out about homosexuality in-person or online are dealing with some deeply rooted same-sex attraction that they need to come to terms with.
If you actively care enough about homosexuality to intrude upon their personal lives, I'd argue that's a bit homophobic. If you're making it a huge issue in your life and thinking about it every day instead of living your own life, that's pretty homophobic. Live and let live.
Another point is that this is a niche forum. This isn't the same thing as a giant social media platform with tens of millions of users. Given the small size of this community and its diversity, the rules exist to keep it functioning smoothly and to remain accessible to every human being who is addicted to pornography, including LGBT. This has to be one of the most diverse niche sites of its kind and it's really great how so many different people from various backgrounds and belief systems are working together to pursue common goals of overcoming compulsive porn use and establishing healthier sexual habits. The moderation team intends to keep the forum inclusive to everybody.
I agree with live and let live but it think its crazy to try to label anyone who speaks out against the gay lifestyle as mentally ill. that is textbook shaming language used for social compliance. There are many reasons that people may speak out against the gay lifesstyle that dont include mental illness or same sex attraction( more shaming language).
Lifestyle... So people just "choose" to be gay?
Because people totally do it just to be mocked, berated, and ostracised for... what reason exactly? Why would a person decide to be something that society still doesn't accept? That statement is not only just plain ignorant but also homophobic.
There's nothing to "speak out against", do gay folks shame heterosexual's for their orientation? Why do straight people get so hung up on gay folks orientation, is it that hard to coexist together just because of their sexuality?
Is it so hard to accept not everyone has to be and think alike? I am not siding with anyone here. We are all adults here and we should act like such, you are free to hate or like whatever you want, but do not think you can just say your opinion and the expect everyone to agree with you. Yes Infinite Spirit I am talking to you, I read you post and even when I wouldn't call it homophobic, I say it was at least disrespectful.
