I would love to hear everyone's "why" statement, and I will start with mine. And in addition to my "why", I also have a supporting statement (for my "why") and a "Life Mission Statement", which over time has essentially replaced my "why"

Why statement; "I am moving forward with a clear mind, and choosing to be a lucid and critical thinker."

Supporting statement; "Lucid and critical thinking is a key to building my successful present and future."

Life Mission Statement: "To use my gifts of intelligence, writing, articulation, creativity, and humor to achieve my best life, and influence others to do the same."

Why Statement: I am quitting pmo so that I can feel better about myself, have more energy, more will power, and be able to create in my life whatever I put my focus on. Essentially, I aim to become a non-drifter in life and design my life rather than be a victim of it. I want to be master of my destiny.

Life Mission: To heal and empower myself and then to help others to be able to do the same. To gain as much joy as I can and then let it radiate outwards to bring some relief to this world.

@Antonio1989 , that's not a "why statement." That's a vague reason that you want to quit porn.

My "why" is to better myself as a human being and express myself in ways that I never could because porn hindered everything I ever did and I don't ever want to go thru that again. I hope to compete in Golden Globes next year. Nofap WILL change my life I believe it. That's why.

@Jonathansierra , this is a great start. Can these thoughts be tailored to fit into a powerful and succint "statement" now. Something you can memorize. Domething you can easily recall and quote to yourself.
