Nudity, girls in bikinis, instagram models, racy anime, etc. It could be anything that excites you but is not explicit sex.

I dont think instagram and facebook is soft porn. If I look on my classmates pictures on fb, I really cant say she is in a soft porn. That is only porn substitute = anything you can use to jerk off instead of porn.

Softcore is defined as "suggestive or erotic but not explicit" so by that definition it could include absolutely anything that will trigger you. Could be a racy ad on the subway, a song with suggestive lyrics, even certain infrastructures that have phallic symbols or curves like a woman.

This is why I consider NoFap not just about the whole Porn thing but about dealing with our sex-obsessed society. Soft P is everywhere. It's almost inescapable. We live in a sexual bubble.

 

It's literally impossible to avoid all the "soft P" surrounding you unless you want to live like a hermit in a cave somewhere and your sex-exposed mind will still find a way to sexualize a tree or animal lol.

I'm not sure if its the same in America but in the uk they have something called 'page 3 girls', which are pictures of topless women in tabloid 'Newspapers'. From the mid 90's up until a few years ago there used to be something called lads mags which were magazines with lots of pictures of 'glamour models'. The lads mags have mostly ceased publication now due to the internet, but they still have 'page 3 girls' in the newspapers. I would consider these soft porn, and they were quite mainstream, as you could often see them on the shelves in newsagents.

I don’t agree. I do agree with the artificial part, but not the real life woman part. Looking at an attractive person is NORMAL. I mean yeah don’t go around eye fucking people and doing creepy shit. But a normal healthy reaction is fine. I do think we should avoid anything artificial. But sometimes people take things too far and can’t even keep it up anyway, no pun intended, and just end up relapsing and going around in circles. Live a normal life! Just don’t use porn or any porn subs. Stay away from fantasy and fantasizing but be a normal fucking person. If you see a pretty girl it’s okay to smile at her, or get a hard on if that’s a natural response.

 

Very very good point. I have seen this before with people going round in a circle by going too far. They made a real mess of things, trying to abstain from every thing, not even looking at women and punishing themselves. There is a slap back effect, they had affairs while married, visited hookers on a regular basis, their lives became a mess.

Actually, the part about just looking at real women is meant for "during the reboot." Just looking, for the fun of it, is, actually just using reality to get a sexual thought to get a dopamine release. It is quite close to closing your eyes and fantasizing. That is off limits, during the reboot, because it is artificial sexual stimulation which directly results in a shot of the drug we are addicted to; dopamine. After the reboot, if you are off porn addiction, then, get back to normal and look, but get back to normal, first.
