i have seen threads of people saying they relapsed after 6 months or a year, is nofap really working? not for these people clearly. so yeah im worried it wont work for me either 6-12 months of restricting to dive back in not of their own accord? this nofap seems like a lie

  2. NoFap is a lifestyle and we make mistakes now and then. Don't pay attention to peoples relapses they are not you. YOU can make it work for YOU. It is not a lie I've witnessed changes in myself, you just have to try something new man.

Many people leave too soon without doing the work truly needed to heal. It requires more than abstaining from PMO to heal, it requires searching yourself for the root of your issues and facing those issues and many won't or don't do that.

To me, there are no streaks after your goal is reached. It's a lifestyle. PMO is no longer an option for me. My goal was to correct my PIED, and I did that. I abandoned my counter, but continued with this way of life. If I watch P and MO'd today, there is no relapse.....I just f'ed up. I'd feel dirty and perversion. But, that's it.

Some people are just really ambitious. I masked a lot of my problems with PMO over the years. Nofap helped me realize what they were, so it's not totally useless. I honestly questioned whether or not this was working for me at one point too. The flatlines are proof enough that NoFap has some merit. They wouldn't be happening otherwise.

Right on. Most of us weren't just sexually curious when we indulged in porn the way that we did; we most likely had other issues as well (I presume).

As many people above told, pmo is life style or a choice,, it is because im aware the dangger of pmo,, i choose to stop,,,the benefit of pmo is just a bonus dont expect too high

  7. Six months may not be long enough for some people to have rebooted. A year would be for most, I would imagine. Even in that case I disagree that NoFap isn't working. The person that relapses after one year, may start counting again and never look back. You are assuming they will simply keep stumbling annually in the future. That is unknown to be honest.

Even if your point was true, just because NoFap does not work for some people does not make the challenge "a lie". How about other addictions - gambling; alcohol; drugs etc. If some relapse after a year, does that mean that rehab won't work for anyone. Do not allow your pessimism to grant you permission to walk away from this therapeutic approach. Stick it out.

    I see

Youre depressed right ? Youre flooding this forum with question... I dont mind if that help you

Depressed, suicidal though,, searching for shortcut (eg : drugs, alcohol etc),

I hope you strong, life is beautifull bro

  9. Abstaing from PMO can better your life, but you have to get a healthy perspective on that matter. If you feeld like things are getting better, great! That's what it's about, it not about the number on your counter or to have the longest streak possible just for the counter. If I read that some people consider it a relapse when they masturbate after 300 days or so I put it into perspective. It's not that bad you know, 300 days is more than probably 95% of people can do.

So a relapse is not always the same for people. And everyone needs their time, for some that can be 60 days for others it's a year.

Relapsing doesn't take away the progress made and difference in lifestyle that happened when they were putting the effort in any succeeding.
