right now i will try to live without music.
day 1,no edm no trap :D
i will post updates here if it s not problem

  2. Dude, me too. Going on it right now again. EDM and TRAP must really mess up the mind. All those noises and complex rhythms can tire a brain out.

Bro we have to live in present moment(if you are maldaptive daydreamer). I think i have record of 30 days without a music. Durring that time I improved my brain a lot. I learned many things that helps me to do my job.
Try this >>> LINK listen this while doing math,or reading books,or go outside, put headphones, concentrate(on your goals, plans etc) and listen them.
    Beautiful for brain.

  4. This. Only listen to music when I am learning it on guitar or playing it. Streaming music into your ears all the time pretty much damages the brain and tires it out in my opinion.

  5. Been two days since I have listened to music. Can concentrate on my studies more and won't waste time listening to music during study breaks. Did practice guitar. I will only listen to music if I want to learn it, never casually or for fun. Often times as I listen to music I let my mind wander and escape into some fantasy. No more of this, I have to live in this shitty reality. Fucking sucks man. Life is like dark souls mode.

Its hard but I must try this. How stupid it will be to just listen and listen songs all over again..Wasting a golden time. I m felling fine, curently working on one of many goals,no music, just binaural beats :D

  7. I never really got into binaural beats. I used it for lucid dream back in the day (4-5 years ago). I guess it is easy for me to quit cold turkey because I've quit pornography and masturbation. One thing I noticed is that once I quit those two, the time I spent listening to music skyrocketed. Some days I would listen to music so much that I would get a headache at the end of the day.

  8. Managed to go two days without music. Feels good. My mind is clear and I'm just about ready to go to bed. Had to fight off some urges today that nudged me to listen to some songs as I wait for my job to start.

  9. I find it easy to get addicted to most things including movies, video games, music, and Youtube so I have to be careful or I'll just switch one addiction for another. About 3 months ago before joining NoFap, I went on an experimental "monk mode" streak and cut out music, junk food, video games, social media, and movies. After about 25 days without music (can't cut it out completely as it is still in public areas), I started experiencing eargasms when I listened to loud music. By eargasm, I mean when I would listen to the music, the hair on my skin would stand, I got goosebumps all over, I started having tears of joy, I had euphoria similar to the endorphin rush I get from running, and I felt like I could accomplish anything. This was a new thing for me and I've never experienced anything like it before. Maybe if I had kept going, I'd have experienced something similar during meditation.

  10. I start thinking about you.

  11. Not everything that's a stimulant is bad for you SMH

  12. Matter of fact, music is very beneficial to you. We messed up on watching porn to much, doesn't mean everything else in this world that gives you temporary pleasure is bad for you. Live your life.

Porn is much worse for you, not even comparable. Music is so good for you....

@Pedro Wastro listening to uplifting music should be good. Maybe there's always such a thing as too much.

@wethebest Music /can/ be beneficial, right?

Real problem for me is that SOO much music (ahem, YouTube) is completely triggering. Why do we need that in our lives? Wait -- we DO NOT. Better to find things that soothe the soul. And, don't think I'm saying classical all the time or only gospel or some nonsense. I love Skillet and they rock. Lots of other EDM stuff is great for me like Alan Walker. Even country (rarely! haha). It's all about how it makes you feel.

  14. Quit youtube brother. It is nothing but clickbait and triggering material. Only time I ever go on youtube is to listen to chemistry lectures or academic purposes. In addition to /nomusic I'm on /noYoutube as well. When you cut all this pointless stuff out in your life, you start to realize just how much time you have in a day and you can accomplish so much more.

I can appreciate both. Sometimes I work (on computer) in silence. Other times, music in the backgorund. But, I always ditch music when I go outside for an afternoon jog. Peaceful without, that is for certain.

  18. What I'm saying is bc music is a stimulant, you shouldn't just not listen to it. Not everything that gives you temporary happiness is poison and toxic for you. You can have temporary pleasures.
