What do you think about blue balls?

Discussion in 'Abstinence, Retention, and Sexual Transmutation' started by RamboErecto, Jun 9, 2018.

  1. 71 days into this and I had no 'blue balls' or any pain except when before NoFap, I'd edge for three days without having a Big O, then my balls would start hurting. I suppose it was the 'pressure from withholding release' that was strong enough to be painful. So now, after 71, 72 days into this, I only do two things with my special friend: wash it and pee through it and my testicles have been free from discomfort and will always be so.

Some types of priest or monk are given them. It's a ring that goes around the penis before going to bed. It can be adjusted to the man's girth when flaccid. There are sharp teeth on the inside. If he gets an erection in his sleep the teeth dig in and cause enough pain to wake him up before a wet dream can occur.

Ewwww! Sorry, but why? It makes a mess on the bedsheets, it smells, and it's still an orgasm so can make you addicted. Wouldn't you prefer to try to stop them?

That’s your opinion lol it’s involuntary I have no control over it and I’m not pmoing I don’t get the chaser effect and I haven’t watch porn in more than yr it’s a part of the healing process and there are a lot more practical ways to prevent them but if that works for you go for it

  7. I've only had a few wet dreams in my life. They don't mess the sheets because I don't sleep naked and I wake up shortly after they happen.

Most nocturnal erections don't lead to wet dreams anyway. Those "preventers" sound crazy.

I guess some guys aren't that concerned about it. From a girl perspective, I want a guy with the strength of will to contain himself and not mess himself at night.

Retrograde ejaculation can cause damage to brain neurotransmitters especially the nerve cells responsible for retaining and regulating "the internal masturbated sperm". I Dn't knw th name for it but Accordin to my experienc if u keep edging all th tm and not ejaculatin', ths will ruin ur reward system and cause u to hav brain chemistry imbalance, in th long run. Dopamine disorder, blood circulan disorder etc... Do's: after edging, u should ejaculate tht semen cuz it's already used, onc u do it u giv peace t ur penis to ur nerves to ur blood cells etc..

Imagine u buy an apple, u peel it off and u leave it on th tabl without eating it, it will certainly decompose or rot... Sam thin' for th semen whn fapped in th penis, if u dn t let it out in th right Tim it will hav bad effects on ur nervous system on ur brain etc... Th fapped semen is made for real sex to mak kids nt to jst masturbate and waste it...

Semen is th natural ressource of all brain function. Without semen we re dead

  10. Wrong again! The orgasm from an occasional wet dream does not make a man addicted to anything. He is asleep anyway. The clue is in the word "dream".

  11. You have no idea what you are talking about! You say a guy should "contain himself" i.e. prevent a wet dream, "with the strength of will". When this occurs we are unconscious! Do you expect men/women that talk in their sleep or sleepwalk to contain themselves, too? No, I didn't think so. o_O

  12. I appreciate your sharing a female's perspective and, while we may need to accept some flaws in our partners, and I'm not sure that it comes down to strength of will, it is not at all unreasonable to want a partner that doesn't make a mess of the sheets at night.

As a male, I would like a partner without a lot of sexual issues, so there's nothing wrong with a woman not wanting that either.

Now, from my personal perspective, I would really prefer to mess myself at night than to mess myself in the daytime! It's really embarrassing and at least if would happen at home instead I wouldn't have the risk of someone finding out. I've only had one wet dream in the past 6 months, but I am imagine I would get sick of them really quickly if they started happening on a regular basis. I would definitely consider the ring idea in that case.

  13. If my body wanted to ejaculate on its own, I would let it. Between this, and your previous remark that men made up the idea of blue balls, and the posts that followed this, I think you have a problem with male sexuality. That thing about the ring with the needles makes me sure of it.

  14. One word: menstruation.

If you're doing your job with your man, there's no reason for him to have nocturnal emissions.

Whenever you climax you release dopamine. It's a drug and it's addictive.

You can reduce the chances of it happening by not looking at porn or thinking lustfully before going to bed, also avoiding stimulants including processed sugars and caffeine. There are also devices that prevent it like I said, and of course edging is very likely to cause wet dreams so should be avoided.

Male sexuality is great when it's focused on close loving relationships with women. Messing the bed sheets, not so much.

Lol whatever you say we all here to uplift each other and better ourselves and you forgot to mention sleeping on right side can also prevent them the worst position is laying on your stomach sleeping without tight underwear none of these methods are fool proof and I’m not gonna take the opinions of someone who has never had a wet dream too seriously

  17. Wow! How do you know so much about this?? It took me years to figure all of that out! Or, maybe just years to finally accept these things because they were things that I didn't want to hear.

So true. I have PMO'd all of my adult life and hated myself for it. I was focused on myself and living in fantasy . . . and the reality was lonely and bleak. I was weak and my testosterone was abysmally low. Sexual intercourse with a woman increases testosterone levels, masturbating decrease it.

Thank you @EmmyB for your blunt and direct responses.

  18. Wrong. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter. o_O
You are right that edging, sexual fantasies and porn will make wet dreams more likely. But there is no proven correlation between processed sugar, caffeine and wet dreams. If I am wrong, please link me to the research that proves it. It is not necessary to wear a torture device with teeth to wake us up when we get erections during the night (5-6 times per night for the average male).
As you are so disgusted by a little semen, tell future partners to wear underwear in bed, I guess.

Thanks for your input it’s actually helpful to see the girls point of few. Especially since I’ve been so sexually and emotionally selfish for so long.

One thing I’ve learned in the past 3 months is that no ones recovery is the same and no ones body is the same. This is a drug like problem, except it’s not an external substance it has a lot to do with many variables all within he body. For example some people have PIED some get over stimulated and could orgasm simply by rubbing their legs together... I didn’t have any of these problems.

In the example of this thread blueballs seems too to occur in some and not in others. I haven’t had it yet and I’m 90 days sober. I also do everything you said including zero processed sugars a complete wholefood plant based diet, zero edging, etc...

However, this doesn’t mean everyones results will be like mine. We have to remember that we are dealing with the human body and it’s complex. Especially the sexual organs. For example age plays a huge part in this. We all learned that wet dreams are a normal part of Puberty. I never go them cuz I was busy jerking of 10 times per day. Lol so it’s very possible that there are 16 year olds on this site getting sober from PMO and they will be getting wet dreams and that is most likely a very normal thing.

Just remember that sex organs are their own complex beast. And to tell someone they can avoid blueballs with a blanket statement/solution would be like someone telling women that you shouldn’t get emotional during your period. I know for my wife, it was literally impossible for her to fight the emotional rollercoaster of her period, but other girls are able to be less affected.

Hormones are a crazy complex thing, and it’s up to us on here to have an open mind about everyone’s process to recovery. And all we can do is lead them to their personal truth and not lie about it.

So if your getting blueballs cuz you chug coffee and eat hella sugar and are searching slow motion bikini girls on youtube then going to bed...well...sounds like you need to take a look at what might be causing this. But if you aren’t engaging in any risky behavior, then it might just be how your body deals with this and maybe a trip to the doctor to discuss would be a good idea.

  20. I am 63, and not having issues with blue balls.

But I can remember being in my teens and 20s and having long make-out sessions, or even just talking on the phone with a girl with whom sex was a possibility, and being seriously aroused. I probably just rubbed one out at the time, (because I had no idea at the time of the damage that just masturbating could do to sexual response), but I expect that such experiences, without release, could easily result in blue balls.
