  1. What browser do you use and what's the best browser out there?

  2. I'm pretty sure chrome is universally the best browser. I've done a lot of research on this topic and i've tried a lot of browsers, including some that no one's ever heard of lol and after all that i came to the conclusion that chrome is the best and fastest browser.

    I totally agree.
Whenever I use any other browser I feel like I'm missing so many features that I can hardly "work" (as in "do stuff") normally.
Although right now I'm using the Brave browser, because I don't want to have NoFap open in my usual browser and here I can have my previous session opened when I start up the browser -- which I don't like to have normally.
Also I'm a translator of Brave and this gives me the opportunity to try it out.

  4. I'm not to keen on Chrome as its Google and I don't like or trust them, so I use Opera and don't have any problems with it.

  5. Yeah, a lot of people have that issue with google. I don't much like it either, but i just ignore it. Firefox is another really good one and they are a lot better about privacy. Also, it's gone through some big changes for the better recently.

  6. I've never had good luck with Firefox unfortunately, it's always really slow and crashes a lot on the phone.

  7. Oh okay, i only used it on my desktop and it was pretty good. Have you used it recently? Because like i said, they recently made a lot of upgrades to better compete with chrome.

  8. I started this thread because I'm thinking of changing to Firefox on my laptop. On my iPod I've changed to Yandex because I got fed up of seeing news headlines whenever I used it. It's actually amazing the number of mobile browsers that force you to have news headlines on the front page and Yandex is one of the few browsers that give you the ability to turn the headlines off. Another good thing about Yandex is there's no incognito browser so it makes viewing porn slightly more awkward for me.

  9. BTW Mozilla has a good podcast called IRL: Online Life Is Real Life

  10. No not in the last six months or so if that makes a difference, I hate how much ram or threads each one of those engines uses, my pc isn't great so it runs slower when those are up. :/

  11. Yeah the ram thing is one of the main things it fixed. Thats how i found out about it, i was using chrome on a not so great oldish laptop and it was lagging, so i did some research and found that the new firefox is really good about that. You can have a bunch of tabs up with no decrease in speed.

I've been meaning to try out Vivaldi on my notebook that's running arch linux with open box. Ordinarily, I need chrome as I do a lot of website testing, so chrome / firefox and that pesky internet explorer are necessities of evil for me.

That being said Sarah, I always assumed you were able to run unreal engine on your desktop, and that is no small desktop spec IMO. So is this another PC or laptop you are on about?

Also when I wanna write shit loads of text and don't wanna type I use

  14. I can run Unreal Engine (although I've switched to Unity for now) on my computer, I just run into issues with too much stuff running.

For starters I definitely need a new CPU for multi-threading and a HDD/SSD as its pretty old and slow. Otherwise my GPU is okay and I have 12GB of ram.

@Sarah W. I'm doing some archviz stuff with unity on my mac mini, so you don't need to go too crazy with machine specs.

How's your game coming along? P.S ignore the folder structure that isn't how you should divide your project folder, normally I create a separate one for scripting.

  17. Pretty good I think, but did you make those mate? That's pretty bloody impressive! Except for that structure folder... I'm mad OCD and everything is categorised, so that triggers me. lol

Haha, thank you, I have many years experience with blender, it is actually a lot of tricks rather than adept modelling and uv-unwrapping, all the mats are unity's standard shader btw. The key to its apparent realism is in the light mapping. Sorry about the folder structure, ima work on that. :(

    wooo nice app.

I'm using opera, not quite fast and little bit buggy but it doesn't consume much ram
