Trigger activate

    Hi, guys.
    I realized what is my addiction trigger. Always before start with PMO, my wife leave our house. Alone with my cell,
    even without desire, the trigger is activate.
    She isn't home now and back soon after 6 hours. I've strategies to focus my mind in other things to do. To study, to workout, to clean my house, or take visit a friend.
    I'm 3 days without PMO.

  2. Congrats on your three days so far.

    For me, idle time is the most dangerous. If I don't have something that needs to be done, that is when I am most likely to relapse. So good for you in realizing this. And it's also good that you have some other things to turn to that will help you focus your attention elsewhere. Two quick suggestions...

    1. Train yourself to focus on what you WANT to do and not on avoiding porn. The more you concentrate on not looking at porn, the more likely you are to do it. So really work on doing those things that you want to do.

    2. Make a list (written if that works well for you) of 20 or 30 things that you can do when you are idle. There should be a good mix of things, some easy, some time-consuming, some mental, etc. So I would have things like taking out the trash, doing the dishes, doing laundry. I also have learn Japanese, work on a puzzle, walk the dog. Then more deeper things like visiting this site and reading posts, meditating, going to yoga, etc.

    The more things you have on the list, the more likely you'll find something you are interested in doing at that point in time.
