so it's been about 10 hours since my last PMO, and I just woke up (always difficult time). I haven't been able to find a forum that discusses best ways to overcome cravings and not give in. What have you guys done to overcome cravings when life without MO seems impossible?

Keep yourself occupied with something, for example gym, reading, hanging out with friends or taking a walk when urges hit you.

Try playing the scenario through in your head. Chances are, you're here because you know how much PMO detracts from your enjoyment of life. When the urges come, don't just think about the trigger, or the hot fantasy--think about the aftermath, the shame, the pathetic feeling that you did it 'yet again'.

I imagine you've had countless experiences of feeling depressed and unsatisfied after a PMO session. Just remind yourself that if you act out again, you're going to feel the same way. Porn and masturbation never satisfy the way we want them to.

'Urges' tend to keep you focused on the immediate moment--you have a craving, and everything in your brain tells you that it must be satisfied. But take a few deep breaths, and open your mind to look at the bigger picture of your life. You have goals and dreams that PMO has no place in, and in fact will only pull you away from.

Here's another trick you can do--instead of imagining how good it will feel to MO, try picturing yourself in third person. Imagine you're watching a video of yourself masturbating. Sitting there, pants around your ankles, starting at a computer screen, completely lost inside of your own mind. It's a pathetic sight, isn't it?
