This video really disgusted me about the industry I've been supporting

Discussion in 'Porn Addiction' started by Deleted Account, Aug 13, 2018.

  1. Been watching some anti-porn YouTube videos this evening. Here's one that has some more incentive to get away from porn. We're supporting an industry that's absolutely disgusting and by continuing our addiction we run the risk of become as disgusting as the men mentioned in this video.

This one was extra sickening to me, particular the info that starts at 6:02. I listened to that and thought, "That man is a F-ing sadistic beast, but who knows, I was spiraling downwards and may have been at that point someday. I need to stop".

No triggers here just truthful information about the depths of depravity that porn takes people.

I post it as an encouragement to others to stay in the fight.

I watched and read anti-porn stuff too at the start of my current streak. It really helped motivate me too. Porn is evil. Good luck @HopeForBrightFuture

Even if porn wasn't linked to stuff like this, it would still be pretty weird, its just so ingrained into the public consciousness that barely anyone realises it. Seeing the occasional sideboob or hell, even a full frontal in a movie or TV show is one thing, that isn't too bad, nor is, IDK, seeing a woman in a bikini in an advert. Where I draw the line is when it gets to the point that you are able to watch extremely explicit sex and sex acts with the click of a mouse, its very fucking odd when you think about it that more people dont recognise the inherent weirdness of sitting in a room watching people have sex. That isn't to say I think porn should be banned or anything, and I dont want to go around telling people that they shouldn't consume it if they want to, I'm not the morality police, but the longer I go without porn the easier it is to see what a strange effect it has that isn't really comparable to other forms of media, such as say, a violent movie.
