I'll be the one to say it. I believe that add that says "girls struggle with porn too" is a potential trigger. Its not a porn pic or anything. But the slightest thing can trigger a person to go on a massive PMO spree.

Perhaps you should replace it, with no pic.
Lol might be a little extreme but.... Just looking out for the community.
    Thanks

Lol @Gaston . I think we should be able to not give up to a simple image like that? There will be a lot harder things in pmo we will have to learn than just that one simple pic.

If you can't see a simple picture of a woman dressed normally looking at her phone without being triggered... then you've got a long way to go.

Yes I do. But I'm not the only one who is complaining.

This ad complaint is one of the most bizarre things I've read on here. I had no idea some people had it so hard (excuse the pun). How do you guys go about your life without creaming yourselves?

If you're implying that the majority of guys would share your sentiment, I strongly doubt that. It is not the norm to find a picture like that arousing and I simply pointed that out. I empathise with you as your mind must be sexually charged to an abnormal degree, but the ad won't bother the large majority, thus won't be removed.

You think every guy thinks of sex anytime he looks at a woman? You have incredibly skewed versions of gender.

I almost lost it when I saw the girl's cellphone. I love a woman who stays connected.

  12. As a female... I find it a bit ridiculous and annoying, honestly, to hear people complaining about this ad and suggesting it be replaced with something that doesn't have a picture. Like seriously?? We can't have one thing?

I'm sorry, but that's just insane. Should I come demand that all pictures of men fully clothed should be removed because they might possibly be triggery for me? That ad is useful and relatable for women in this community, and I echo the sentiment that if you can't handle looking at a fully clothed woman holding a cell phone, that is your problem, not the ad's.

  13. Yeah,Tell your Mom to get away from house, tell your sister to get away from house, tell your daughter to get away from house.Tell every woman who is on the planet to Die and never return. Lock yourself in a prison devoid of woman, and live.
Look closely man,the problem isn't with the girls,It's with our Thought patterns regarding the girls.Until how much time will you run away from normal looking girls? You will face them daily in your life.Until when will you run?
Remember that you were born out of a womb itself.Learn to respect women. They are a part of this world too.Treat them as human beings, not some objects to be played with.
Our goal is to become stronger,SO STRONGER that even if a naked woman comes in front of us,we would talk with her eye to eye, with all the respect and act as a loving being to her,not as a demon who wants to posses that naked body.
You forgot our goal buddy. But don't worry, everyone makes some mistakes. Now get back on track. We are all here to help. :)

Umm... What? Are you serious? If a naked women comes in front of me (in real life) you expect me to not look at her body? You expect me not to want to have sex with her?
I think this trend on nofap about "not objectifying women" has been blow out of proportion. I mean come on, I am a 20 year old man. If a naked women comes in front of me then I want to have sex with her, not talk about how much I respect her. That's natural. End of story.

I (and most men) joined NoFap & YBOP to quit pornography and masturbation. That's the bottom line. Mainly to get re-sensitized to sex/women, and to heal my PIED, as well as cure my anxiety (and its working!).
We are former PORN ADDICTS! You're right, it is my problem, but on an ANTI-PORN/MASTURABTION WEBSITE its not appropriate to show a potential trigger to recovering addicts.
I am almost at the point where triggers are completely manageable to me. But we have to remember that ONE trigger can cause a total relapse. Do you want that? Sure, I probably wont relapse because of that pic now (I'm at 69+ days) but a person earlier in their rebooting process might see it and end up relapsing. I'm not the only one who is complaining.
I am not looking at my mother in a sexual manner. But I have looked at my sister, and my cousin in a sexual manner before. http://www.nofap.com/forum/index.php?threads/i-cant-stop-thinking-about-my-cousin-please-help.45513/ I'm not proud of it but this is what porn makes you think. I am trying my best to heal and you guys are calling me a wimp for trying to take down a potential trigger for the good of the community?

  16. I'm sorry to not elaborate the context here fully. What I actually meant was if a naked woman( for other reasons, let's say you're at the beach, and a lady is interested in you to talk to you) comes to you,and She has NO intention of sex whatsoever, then we must not straight away objectify her.We should remember that Sex is a two way thing. It also requires the permission of a Woman.Yes it does,if you don't care about woman, then it isn't sex,it's called something else.Another example you might take:Some People these days remain naked in their houses(at least in summer). They walk around naked and all that stuff.Suppose you accidentally stumble upon your friend's house without notice,or maybe you both live in the same house, and you get into her bedroom suddenly, and she is naked. What will you do that moment(It doesn't matter if you're 20 or 40 or 60)? Will you start seeing her naked body like a lustful being at the moment? Will it be appropriate?
My point here basically is to not look woman as sex objects,UNLESS she wants you to do that.Just Imagine if the world was inverted, suppose you go to a party and every woman there is just staring at your ass, chest, abs and lower area,no one cares about your face,no one cares about what you speak,no one cares about where have you come from,no one cares about where you will go,no one cares if you feel good about it or not,no one cares whether you are a human or not,the only thing they care about is How to Use you as an Sex object for THEIR satisfaction regardless of what you feel. And in the end, when they get bored with you, none of them really cares about you and throws you like a chewing gum.
I'm not suppressing sex,but just the obsessiveness of objectifying a woman irrespective of ,if the Woman wants you to do that or not.

You're absolutely right that even 1 trigger can cause a relapse. And You're absolutely right that people early in their reboot process can easily get triggered by that. But at the same time, they also need to be educated about not objectifying woman, and the sooner they learn by practicing it more and more, the better for them. You just can't ban any woman picture from the site, that would be against neutrality, because even woman can then protest and tell men about how triggering some of their avatars are and tell them to put it down.Suppose if a woman says to you to put down your avatar, because she used to watch vampire porn and the avatar relates to that.We men could be in big trouble if we get to make that picture of Advertising girl out.We couldn't have any type of "Men" pictures as our avatar, cause who knows, it might be hurting to the women.
I appreciate your opinions and problems as well.I'm not forcing my opinions on you, neither am I trying to fight. These are MY opinions and you're free to have yours.

So because you're a recovering addict, you're allowed to objectify and belittle women because, hey, you're the REAL victim here, not them. Makes perfect sense.

I am, but I also don't think that just because I'm recovering I should be allowed to treat women like objects and ostracize female recoverers in the process
