thin blue veins on penis?

I had a wet dream this morning and when I woke I had a full erection but I noticed the dorsal vein on my penis looked some what larger and it was kinda purple and I could see the two little clot/dot things in it. It looks "normal" now in it's flaccid state, as in it looks like what it's looked like the past 4.5 months but it looked very unsightly post-wet dream. I honestly think there is a clot half way down the dorsal vein (at least partially) and there's a vein bridge between the top dorsal vein leading to a side shaft vein and that appears to be feeding into it now because blood cant reach the rest of the dorsal vein and it's branches. At least it's only a superficial dorsal vein and I think it just means I've lost sensitivity in the skin :/

The blue veins have always been there. You discovered them like Columbus discovered America; it existed long before he saw it. The blue veins serve a very important purpose. They take blood back to your heart. When they constrict, you have an erection. If they were blocked, you would have already died from a gangrenous permanent erection.
The varicose veins in legs are caused by problems in little valve things in our leg veins. Unless you have a really long penis, its veins have not developed like those in a leg. Death grip and other mistreatment could cause some damage to some veins, but others will take up the slack. Our circulatory system works amazingly well, in spite of us.
I would recommend continuing the reboot, continuing to ask about concerns, and worrying less.
Good behavior will generally give good results.

Thanks for the reply dude. Well I definitely believe those veins always existed, it's just strange they suddenly showed up out of no where. I suppose as long as my dick still gets long and hard then everything is functioning just as it should. While I did have burning and pain for 8-12 weeks (months ago) I never experienced pain in the veins themselves. So maybe it's possible I hurt myself with masturbation but never actually clotted the veins (because if a vein/s was clotted then wouldn't they hurt too? And my pain never got worse with an erection,it was just a persistent thing..in fact im pretty sure those months ago the pain seemed to go away a little bit when I got erect.). I also noticed that when I get fully erect the dorsal vein seems a little less prominent (as in it sinks down into the skin/flesh) and it becomes at its most visible post-ejaculation, then I hop in the shower and the warm water always makes it hide in the skin again. It is however always visible when flaccid and there's no steam/hot water present.

Oh well, y'all are probably right but I'm still gonna see my GP then a urologist and get checked out anyway. If it's truly a clot/mondor's disease they'll be able to identify it just by looking at it so I'm sure I can avoid a doppler ultrasound unless they think it's serious. The two worst case scenarios I can imagine are a clot happening again or some how travelling further up the superficial dorsal vein (or STARTING there) OR I have to get the vein litigated or re-sectioned. I've never been scared of surgery but I'd really rather avoid work on my penis because I'm afraid any surgical action on a mans penis is likely to kill sensitivity (my opinion).

And yes, good behaviour for me from now on, it's been an awakening to say the least. I'll happily continue my life with no masturbation (I don't want to mess my dopamine up or risk injury) and I have the oppurtunity to be with a girl so that's all I need. I also think rough sex is out of the question in the future lol. I dont wanna bruise my veins. I never liked those dangerous sexual positions anyway. When I was 17 my first gf was riding ontop of me and I nearly had one of those dreaded events where your penis comes out of her and she slams down and snaps it. Luckily I came out of that unscathed (maybe the one time having a 5.2 incher came in handy because I think a larger penis would've broken easily). Don't worry btw, this was like 7 years ago. I read when guys like me have these vein issues lube during sex (or a wet girl) makes it ideal and I read too in cases where guys with vein problems and/or mondor's disease only have a re-occurrence of the condition because they continue with their dodgy practices; such as rough sex and/or poor masturbation technique.

Just one question and it may sound like a no brainer but I just want to ask: if a vein/s has blue in it, that clearly means there's blood flow, right? It's not just the colour of the vein itself? Because say hypothetically if a vein/s was cut off from blood supply, they wouldn't be blue anymore, correct? I imagine they would lose all colouration.

For veins, blue is good. You do not want black. Arteries are red, bringing fresh oxygenated blood to our muscles. It is an amazing system. Enjoy.

Thanks for the insight man. I don't think I've ever seen black veins in my life though o_O even on the internet..

Also what about purple or dark blue? Is that ok? I noticed my veins go a darker blue sometimes during erection and I noticed last time post ejaculation (it was a wet dream) my veins went purple.

During erection the flow of blood leaving the penis is restricted so that the soft spongy part inside of your penis will fill with blood and get hard. The veins on the surface should also be fuller and appear darker as the membrane around them is stretched slightly.
When you get older, your arteries can get harder, making it difficult to fill your penis to the same hardness that young men enjoy. It is a good idea to exercise and keep your cholesterol low to postpone your need for little blue pills.

I got a couple hardons this morning and I checked my shaft, the veins looked fairly normal, I'm glad to say. I guess it's only post ejaculation they look a little fucked up lol.

And yeah you're right, that does kinda scare me. I have to keep my T levels high as possible in my 30s-50s as well as looking after my cardiovascular system. I hope I don't need blue pills until I'm at least 60 years old lol.

Went to my other GP, he said it looks fine and he cant find anything wrong with it. He's probably right but I may go see my regular GP and get a second opinion. He did look over my genitals thoroughly but I don't completely trust his judgement.

However I do know for a fact now it's nothing to do with my superficial dorsal vein.

sorry but how do you know that exactly? the same thing happened to me and im am sure its wanking related. it happened after me and my partner broke up and i moved out and wanked 2 or 3 times a day. First the dorsel vein became visible and then loads of other veins started showing up, especially when its soft or shrank. its like ive inflamed my veins from wanking too hard.

I think you should not be issuing out this advice with such confidence.

The guy is still PMOing as well, not realising he needs to reboot to get rid of this

hi there. i found out its not really the superficial dorsal vein thats affected, these blue veins are actually veins in the skin and yes, it is caused by rough masturbation, both of us ought to be careful in the future. it has no effect on erectile function as far as i can tell (unless you are in pain).

no, i believe they are permanent. they dont cause my grief anyway, they are just aesthetically unappealing but dont affect penile function at all.

I have a similar problem. Many thin purple / blue veins or blood vessels on my dick. They're the same color as spider veins (telangiectasia).

They're broken blood vessels, but they still carry blood because I see the flow in them. Maybe their valves are damaged that causes that dark color, i don't really know.

Those might be caused if you have weak vein walls. You should exercise, eat healthy and take some kind of vein strenghtening supplements so it doesn't develop even more.

I've always had a few veins on my dick, but now there are a lot more than there were a year ago, which is why I'm posting here.
I have a barely visible varicose vein on my calf muscle too, it's blue/green though but it's more visible above skin after exercise. It's different than penis veins, but it's related problem. It's a disorder where vein valves don't properly stay closed and vein walls are weaker than it should be, when pressure builds up another valve stops working, etc, etc until it develops huge veins.

Does it get in the way of having good erections?

oh, well, why are you worried? I have a very veiny penis, and my dorsal vein is rather large. You're not going to get any issues from a large dorsal vein to my knowledge, hell it's likely helping with blood inflow.

This guy made his bigger on purpose to cure his ED, which he claims worked, shows his veins in the video:

You probably fucked up some vein valves in that large vein (jelqing damages veins - it's not natural to excessively stretch and do shit like that with your dick), the valves just won't close now properly and blood flows freely (and pools in one place) instead of flowing in one direction. Hence why even after erection in flaccid state your dick might have a veiny look.

Speaking of 'ring-like ribs' I have those too, 3 on left, 1 on right side and in the center on top larger one that connects to sides, and after long fap, those seem like 'bloated' veins that need longer recovery time to disappear. They're called circumflex veins.

If you fap more rarely it's possible some veins will shrink slightly which will decrease the size of the vein.

Unhealthy sedentary modern lifestyle, like sitting for a long time, bad food (sugary and lots of saturated fat), could be causing these problems, but it's also hereditary to some.

You're describing a venous leak, and if he can get and hold erections thats not it, let's not freak him out with that idea. Guys with venous leaks can't get, or old an erection. An enlarged vein, or one that runs in weird ways is not a venous leak, I've got 3 like that, and I'm fine. If he had one in the dorsal vein it would be impossible to get/hold an erection, which he said he can just fine.

But yeah, Jelging is stupid, avoid it, be comfortable with what nature gave you.

100%, been over this many times with my urologist when I was freaking out due to ED.

Jelging causes micro damage in your tissue, the body heals damage by delivering healing factors via blood flow. Your body created new vein pathways to deliver the blood to heal the tissue, the veins became permanent, no long term damage.

Thought you said you had a new vein, my bad.

Is it just larger? Or what?
