Healing takes time be patient. If you don't feel those pain anymore, it simply means you're on the right path, you're on your way to recovery.

I hope so man and I do believe you are right. Everything does seem to be healing in terms of feeling but the veins are still there which is what concerns me. Reports say that it should "resolve" by 2-4 months and in terms of pain it resolved but the veins are still there. I'm just not sure if I should expect them to stay there for many more months, become permanent or what ever? It's always gonna be a lingering fear now in the future that a clot could happen again. Anyway, I suppose as long as the veins dont change in appearance it'll be okay. In the last 4 months the appearance of the veins have stayed the same so I guess its probably resolved..except I believe they're supposed to go away eventually...FML. I just hope sex doesn't aggravate it or make the episode reoccur.

We can only hope for best thing to happen. Don't worry much about it, I guess all penises are really veiny, mine's got a lot too but I don't want to scare myself.

I think you should go check that with a doctor, especially since you've had major changes happening to your body recently. Preventative medicine is by all means a better option than treatment, so know what it is that you've got specifically so that you could prevent it from worsening.

  5. What is this slightly odd wank technique?

  6. I don't care if he's literally the worst GP in the world, he still knows better than someone who didn't go to medical school.

If your concern is that he didn't look at it, then ask him to look at it. You cannot make your own diagnosis, it doesn't work like that. Ask him to look at it, or go see a specialist. Instead of going in there saying "I've seen these veins, I think it's a blood clot" etc etc and attempting to do their job for them (which will of course be met by them telling you that veins are normal), you should just say: I experienced sudden pain and discomfort in my penis that lasted for a couple of months. During that time I noticed some strange looking new veins on it. Can you take a look and tell me if there is anything wrong or not?

Bam, get them to look at it, then you can get an answer as to what it is or isn't, instead of simply speculating over what it could be. ;)

Also, I second what IGY asked about the technique, I didn't notice that past of your post initially. The pain could have been from too aggressive fapping.

Or for example if you did anything like jelqing or anything like that, you could have damaged your dick and caused the pain (as well as the new veins) etc.

i guess it wasn't that odd and no i never jelqd at all. i would edge often though and apparently this can all be brought on by vigorous sex/masturbation and sometimes it just happens for no known reason.

anyway, im almost certain i have this and dont worry, its not as though i plan to treat myself because based on what ive read, treatment makes no difference to recovery, there is only treatment for pain/discomfort and that has all passed anyway. it says it should take the most 4 months to resolve and the pain resolved a little before 4 months but i still have the veins there a long with the unsightly blue dorsal vein (the others only look blue some times, like when im semi-hard and oddly enough, most of them vanish when im fully erect). i feel lucky though that i didnt get extra pain when erect. anyway pain is all gone, its just the veins that remain so i cannot confidently say this issue is resolved (yet). supposedly if it takes more than 6 months further treatment may be needed (such as a form of procedure which i hope i wont need).

i plan to see my GP again and go for a Doppler scan so they can assess the status of the clot and superficial veins affected.

    wish me luck fellas.

  8. Penises have loads of veins and many of them are visible. I don't really understand why they are unsightly to you.

because they only appeared very suddenly about 4.5 months ago and there was lots of pain/burning/discomfort accompanied with them. hence why its likely a clot/mondors disease. luckily the prognosis is good and i should be fine. ive said multiple times already the pain/discomfort has passed and pain never got worse during erection anyway. i have no venous leak because i can maintain erection to porn and i get hard morning and night erections every day.

im just fearful of the fact a clot happened and is likely still there. the only relief i have is that i still have roughly 2 months before i can expect it to clear up/become adsorbed but im still going to see a urologist anyway. hopefully they will give me blood thinners to help and if worse comes to worse, they need to work on the dorsal vein (where the clot happens/happened).

  10. I have read the entire thread and I understood all of that. My point was why you consider visible veins unsightly as these mostly occur naturally.

matter of personal opinion and the fact these came about from a blood clot and not due to growth or age.

  12. OK thanks, I understand. I hope everything works out the way you want.

I posted some pics of my genitals on another forum and they said it looks fine. They rekon it's not a thrombosis but a phlebitis? Something like that...so the veins got inflamed and one guy said it looked like capillaries rather than veins. Anyway, it doesn't stop me from getting an erection (pied does though) so I guess I can stop stressing out over physical damage and get back to focusing on my reboot. I relapsed twice though (no orgasm, edged twice and wanked a few times) so I guess I screwed myself out of reboot gains just so I could reassure myself that I didnt damage my penis. I sure miss my quality nocturnal and morning erections though :'(

  15. Yeah, I am sure it looks fine. Many guys have visible veins inside their wrist. It looks fine, right? Your cock is normal dude.

  16. Hmm. That is a pity and so unnecessary. :( You will just have to reset your counter and, as you said, focus on your reboot.
