The day 3 hump

    Anyone else constantly struggling to get past 3 days? I feel like there are a few benchmarks to clear to go along with daily self improvement.

    Day 3
    Day 7
    Day 14
    Day 30
    Day 60
    Day 90

    I've found without fault these to be the "trigger" days, when cravings are the most intense.

    Anyone else?

    I think your right. I'm on day 14 and the cravings are the worse they have been.

    I can't make it past day 3. I get immense depression and cravings if I don't watch pmo but if i pmo only cravings are gone and depression is kept on.. Any advice on getting past these stumbling blocks?

    My favorite way to get past a hard time is to use the "wave" theory that I learned in a rehab group. If you picture each craving as a wave that is headed toward the shore. You are on that wave and blindfolded. It's scary, it's out of your control and you want to panic and relapse

    But, if you just let the wave carry you, close your eyes and let all your thoughts pass, whatever they might say (For me it was "You are a fag you will die alone go kill yourself eat shit etc) eventually, every time, that wave of depression and evil thoughts will crash into the shore and they will fade and you will be ok.

    Each wave gets less and less intense and once you learn how to surf them you will be ok.
