The Cycle of Life

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by Deleted Account, Dec 5, 2018.

  1. When I was five my family moved to a poor neighborhood where the boys introduced me this malice. I only learnt it was bad when I joined a Church at 19. By that time I also smoked pot every day.One day I heard about a job opening at a warehouse. That night I dreamt I had become a rich computer entrepreneur, and married. When I woke up it was clear to me that all I needed to do was to quit my sexual immorality, and take the job. Unfortunately I got into a fight at Church over some money I was owed, and did neither. My mother had suggested I take up web-page design, but I thought the math would be impossible so I shyed away from it. The years went by I grew old, and my dream faded. Today I'm 36, and have taken on various odd jobs. I started taking medication managed to quit my sexual non-sense. I also haven't smoked marijuana in 11 years, and to my amazement that factory job opened up again.

  2. That's good you stopped smoking weed. Now give up the porn and get the life you are supposed to have. Are you still a Christian? If so God and his people will help you break free. You cannot do this alone. That's why this site exists. There is a Christian group on this site. Come and join.

  3. Most of the men I converse with regularly are intimately familiar with the Bible. It's up to you. The beauty is we are all struggling together encouraging one another helping each other stay on track. Reminding one another that Jesus has mercifully granted us forgiveness and gives us the power to overcome PMO and walk in purity.

I agree, keep it to yourself, it's a one-on-one relationship between you and God. People in a church can be so naive, just like you see a lot of unfit people at the gym, they're all trying to heal in their own way!

Can I tell you how glad I am that you discovered this early on , with a whole other half of your life to reap the benefits? Well done! I want you to also stay active here on NoFap; there's a feeling of richness you get by helping people here. A feeling that even rich entrepreneurs don't have. Stay strong!
