    Movies

Shaun of the Dead. Disliked it the first time, found it incredibly boring, but it grew on me.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World. You have to get past the first half before it gets any good.

Battlefield Earth. I was young and didn't know what crap looked like.

Gremlins 2. I watched it for the evil gremlins.

Beavis and Butthead Do America. I finally sat down to watch this around twenty years after it came out. It was pretty bad, but fits the title of this thread like a glove.

    TV Shows

Archer. I actually had someone comment that they hadn't expected me to get into this show. I didn't expect to either.

Rick and Morty. It was kind of fun at first, but now the humor and style has just about run its course for me.

Charmed. I thought this was a stupid show when I saw my first episode. "The Charmed Ones" this, "power of three" that. Then it grew on me as the rest of my household got into it.

Both of which remind me of Baby Driver by the same director. It was bad. Just bad.
Which is weird because Hot Fuzz and World's End are two of my favorite movies ever. They even make up a trilogy together with Shaun of the Dead.

I love edgar wright. I think his stuff is great. I haven't seen Baby Driver though

My favorite trash TV is Gordon Ramsey's kitchen nightmares. There is just something satisfying about watching a restaurant improve and get cleaned up. Also watching Gordon Ramsey just shout at everyone

Me too, he's obviously talented as fuck, but judging by Baby Driver, when he tries to write everything by himself it seems like it really isn't that good of a screenplay. I know it's a very different kind of movie but you could feel it just doesn't work without a Pegg or a Moffat. But there's no shame in this. Hitchcock had top notch screenwriters helping him. Tim Burton too. Even Kubrick has had some help here and there.

Rick and Morty is one of the best shows on TV, it doesn’t deserve to be mentioned in this thread as a “terrible” tv show.

Anyway I got one: Dimension 404 (on Hulu). It’s a cheesy science fiction show that came out this year. I watch it when I’m exercising.

I watched all of Continuum on Netflix. Not really worth it. Barely held together a plot and not sure why it held my attention enough to keep me awake. Characters were ok except the main girl power stuff was a bit much ALL the time. Barely passes for sci-fi, and that was the main initial interest, so I will give it one star there. Oh well. Free and no commercials. So, whatever.

Rick and Morty is great. It gets a ton of hate because the toxic part of the fan base keeps saying stupid shit. Dan Harmon even addresses that the toxic part of the fan base is a problem http://www.slate.com/blogs/browbeat/2017/09/22/dan_harmon_condemns_rick_and_morty_s_sexist_fans.html 8655abe2843e263d96597c860ede85f8d7b2033652d231bccacbaf5260e6559c_1.jpg

    Cheesy movies, oh boy.

I watched all Sharknado movies. I don't even know why.

I watched Big Ass Spider. I don't know why.

I watched Birdemic. I definitely don't know why.

I watched The Gingerdead Man... why???

I lost so many neurons that I'm unable to get back from those.

  17. Most boring show of all time lol

  18. I used to love horrible b-horror movies. I found a gem amongst the turds though... Thankskilling. Watch this movie it is hysterical. (Spoiler alert/trigger warning there are boobs in the first scene)

  19. I can't even think of examples because I watch so much stuff that most people would find dumb. Lol I feel like I know a good deal about film and television, what makes a good movie or show, whether it be the writing, directing, casting, acting, cinematography, etc. But at the same time, I'm not pretentious about movies and shows at alllllll. I can enjoy basically anything as long as it's slightly interesting. I can tell when they're not very "good" shows, but I still like em.

But yeah, idk, I can't think of examples. I like reality shows, like Gordon Ramsay's show mentioned above. He does another one called Hotel Hell that's fun too. Basically the same as Kitchen Nightmares, but with hotels instead of restaurants.

I like all kinds of reality shows. Don't watch em as much now as I did when I had cable, because they don't have a lot of the ones I liked on Hulu or Netflix. I also like somewhat cheesy sitcoms. Probably one of my favorites that most people would consider lame or cheesy is Switched at Birth. Loved that show! I've watched the whole thing like 3 times. Lol
