SuperFurryThing banned

The guy provided an interesting perspective on many topics and it was exciting to watch him improve his existence. He's been kicked out today for some reason while others who mumble about "sexual energies" or Jesus/Allah/Krishna every day are happily surviving. Great...

 

That suprises me. I saw no problems with his conduct.

Why him and not some off these others who I think should be banned?

Some of his posts were encouraging to me.

 

Why was he banned?

 

I will miss his cute super furry thing.

 

Tweeby got banned permanently because he was collecting information about people like you and me without their permission or knowledge. He made fake accounts and sent porn to me, Beamer and my whole friend circle. He deserves the ban. They should have perma-banned him the first time.

 

Banning unfortunately doesn't do much, as he can just come back and do that stuff under a new name. I never knew he did that stuff before as we would just have a chinwag bout casual stuff, sucks he did that to folks.

 

well, it depends on how good their system is and how smart tweeby is. some systems when they ban someone online they can also ban them trying to make new accounts because their systems so good it knows the persons i.p address and instantly bans that i.p address( which doesnt change with different usernames) but tweeby could use a different i.p address on a new account..and constantly change his i.p address and use fake 1's

 

It's easy to spoof an IP or better yet just use a VPN as it just takes seconds. Unfortunately technology hasn't advanced that well in those areas, maybe some time in the future. Because IP banning has been essentially useless throughout the years, except for the folks that are too lazy to find a work around.

Some companies do Hardware bans, I'm not sure how easy it is to work around that but it sounds pretty effective.

 

If he was banned, it was probably for a good reason. People don't generally get banned out of nowhere on here. I've seen first hand people getting outraged over a ban without knowing all the information (like with the case of people getting mad about Tweeby being banned, when that ban was clearly very well deserved, despite the fact that I still consider the guy a friend).

It's fine to wonder and speculate, but dont be too quick to assume the mods are dumb or that a ban wasnt deserved when you dont have all the information.

Yeah you can do some interesting stuff with a hardware ban, though some would say that's an "invasion of privacy" as they need to get some information from your computer, like a snapshot of your internals.

Don't see it used too often though, maybe it's hard to implement or too many work around? I haven't fully seen much on it but from what I've read it's pretty neat!

 

Yup it's good to remember that this is all online, so there can be problem people. Catfish etc..

i think hackers (not necessarily evil ones) are pretty cool.. i wanna learn computer tech stuff , its fun and challenging.

 

Really? It wasn't that bad from my perspective... but since everyone's point of view is different I'm not gonna argue with you over it since I don't know what it's like to be in your shoes.
