Please tell me, why do you believe that the majority of people have suicidal thoughts at one time in their lives?

In my opinion, a normal, healthy mind does not reckon that it would be better off dead! Do you see what I mean?

Thanks a lot Cool guy. That was my intention. :) It is all too easy to surround ourselves with negative thinking and this can have an effect on our outlook and our mood. In your first post in this thread you mentioned about having depression recently. :/ I empathise and hope that was a temporary phase and now you are feeling more positive and more hopeful. :)

  3. Careful with your words lads. "A lot of people"... realistically, its not a large number here, based on my reading of others postings and regular visits to their journals.

I've found depression to be more of a concern here. Roughly everyone I communicate with here went through the depression state, few battling with it currently. Suicide?

I had asked on my profile a while ago, what do think happens when we die?

My respond was the ones who loved us will miss us. Many others talk about heaven and hell, but clearly forgot the reality of death.

"Ending your pain, sometimes bring greater pain to others"

Suicidal thoughts... well my mind is not really normal, or rather like the average man. When I'm down, I do fight to get up, I just do! Never taught of taking my life, but did think about my potential death. Long story short, I am a risk taker, so there is many tales.

Most of you guys got valid points but you can't project your thought process, living conditions or character and shouldn't generalize. I have make the same thing on the past, wondering why someone would take his/her own life and not fight through it.... until I got in this fight.

A couple weeks (of neutral mood wise) after a 40 day feeling pressure on my diaphragm period, I went into a heavy 1 month depression state. This could have been PAWS but mainly I think it was caused by luck of support from my friends (who already had told about what I needed from them and how hard this fight was) and from seeing little progress in the love sector of my life. To help visualize the state I was in, imagine a dial gauge that displays your mood ranging from -10 to 10, that instead of showing 0 (neutral state), 99% of the time was stuck in -3. Meeting with friends or seeing something funny would get you to 0 for a brief time and then back to the negative I'd go. Being on the positive side? Nah, very rarely and briefly.

Living a pleasure-less life like that made me feel about ending it (I strongly insist that people that read this don't think that we are at the same boat as most of them are much younger than me). I was seeing (and still am) no point in being a miserable lonely person who goes to work, returns home, gets no pleasure from whatever activities engages in and just consumes physical resources. I was thinking plenty of times about the details, making a will, donating my furniture beforehand etc. One day while being bummed out AF as usual, I was going through my desk drawers and that's when I too thought of what @Red Dead and OP are saying, by imagining my mother gathering my stuff after I was gone and how much suffering, me taking my life would bring upon her. That is what kept me from going on with it. As for my friends? If they can go as much as they go without contacting me right now, I believe they would be OK after a couple of weeks, They wouldn't be able to say that I didn't warn them.

On the positive side of things for people going through similar conditions as I am/was, depression kinda went away on it's own 2-3 days ago. At least the dial now shows 0 which is much more tolerable.

About the future though? I really can't say.

  7. No one can, really. In business, we are taught that change is always going to occur, and that we should take a more adaptive approach to business rather than a predictive approach, as all predictions has a level of uncertainty.

About your pleasure less life... really. Pleasure is an intangible resource in a human, used mainly for reducing worries, negative feelings and disruptive emotions. What most people need to realise is that, worries> often created by our environment and can be minimise, feelings> no comments here, hardly have;mood ,and emotions> mental picture evolving around one's interactions with something or someone.

These phrase might be difficult to understand and apply, but simply. A pleasureless life do not exist lad. Even if we were made perfect, we might not have the first basic worry of death, but we will have feelings and emotions.

Its just a textbook version on the topic. My opinions are never valid, unless you choose to validate it.

  9. Hi guys,

Do you believe that at times being alone can be blessing rather than a curse

Most people don't have the luxury of being alone, as they drowned in work around people they cannot stand :confused::oops:

Some people cannot even stand their own company, and thus REALLY hate being alone.

A few people cannot love others because they haven't learned to love themselves.

You see I learned that this huge world feeds us a lot of information that distracts us from the most important thing we really seek, what with the iphones, playstations, Xbox, netflix, free porn... Its all digital overload

Whats this one important thing we really seek you might ask...

    Simple...

It is, what is our Purpose?
What is the original reason we were placed on this earth.

Think about it, everything has a purpose. Take a motorbike for instance, you look at it a KNOW immediately what its purpose is. Matter of fact, you cant call a motorbike a shoe... simply because you cant wear it. In other words, you sit on it and ride, because that is what its built for. Even if you call a motorbike a shoe, it doesn't change what it actually is :emoji_motorcycle:

The same thing for us MEN. Yes we are males, and the truth is any male can ejaculate, even a gorilla or a dog... But what makes us men is our PURPOSE. What we have set our hearts, hands and minds to accomplish because we were built for it. :emoji_lifter::emoji_golfer::emoji_school_satchel:

You see even if you call a man a sissy. He is still a man, because you cannot change his purpose. He comes equipped with the body and functions, same as the motorbike. So when a man arrives on the scene, he is what he is, and nothing anyone says can change that for him... :emoji_muscle:

They say time is money, and in fact, TIME is probably the most important commodity on this earth being that once its over, it is OVER

So make sure you spend TIME with yourself, UNDERSTANDING and STUDYING yourself, and ask yourself, what is MY PURPOSE? :emoji_raised_hands:

You see the richest place on this earth is not the banks, or the museums or necker island, where sir Richard Branson lives... It is actually the graveyard... where a whole lot of dreams and ideas never materialized because people never studied their own potential. They left the work for others to carry out. or decided to work for others how had a purpose.

So ask yourself, out of the 500,000,000,000 sperms I personally beat to get into this world when my daddy laid with my mommy, what did i come here to do. Or was I born a mistake. :emoji_kissing_closed_eyes:

The moment is NOW to choose forever.

You see just like you, last year, I felt like a loser (let's be honest). I felt my addiction to porn would control me for the rest of my life. LIES :emoji_muscle:

Now Im a leader and I speak to people often to break the pattern of thought they are in when self defeated, and i can do this because I discovered my PURPOSE

So if you want me to help you discover your purpose...
Send me a DM right now... we do not have time to waste.

Remember, time and change are the only constant thing in life.
But also remember, everything living and breathing has a purpose, including you. Starting right now :emoji_raised_hands::emoji_raised_hands::emoji_raised_hands:

  10. The three variables that we always consider when making decisions... time, love, and death. Relating that to this topic of suicide.

A suicidal person believes death is a better option, as the love he experiences presently (time) is lesser than what others feel.

LOGICAL... knowing that we are loved, moves us to go on, to overcome death, and to do it right now.
