Smart phone

I would check out Qustodio. I am a software engineer and I can usually break most of them but is pretty hard to get around. The key is to get someone to hold your password so you don't have it. I would be willing to do it.

 

I use accountability software, Accountable2You, to be exact. APs monitor everything I do on my phone. If I turn it off or uninstall, they get notified. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.

 

Do you need to check mail for work? If not, you should buy a basic phone and try to use it for several months.

Even if you DO need a smart phone for work, consider getting a "dumb phone" for your own use. You can still make and receive calls so you won't be totally out-of-touch. Use your smart phone only for work. When not at work, either don't carry or use the smart phone. You can call-forward voice messages from a smart phone to your personal "dumb" phone in case someone needs to speak with you.

If electronics are a problem, find a way to live without the electronics. Blocker and filters help, but only to a point.
