Yeah I tend to only want to watch porn nwhen I’m high on weed and I feel horrible afterwards because I feel like I need some type of punishment and it’s usually self guilt , self guilt can really hurt us for a long period of time which is something God doesn’t want us to have ( not sure if your religious or not just want to share with you my experience bc we suffer from the same thing) but just don’t give up you were meant to overcome this , once you defeat this ( which I know you will ) you’ll start seeing changes all around your life.

 

It all boils down to hypofrontality. Both porn and drugs decrease blood flow to the neocortex, which makes it more likely to give in to an urge. Getting some insight into the way your brain is trying to get you to use porn or drugs may help in saying no the next time, because eventually you want the evolved part of your brain to be in charge of your life and not the primate part. If there was no neocortex we probably would still be living in caves addicted to sex or something. So it's only when the high is over and blood flow returns to the evolved part of our brains that we feel guilty and ashamed, since it is highly involved in reasoning and making healthy decisions. It's what makes us human.
