Hey all...pretty new here so not totally familiar with all the acronyms and protocol but wanted to shared a quick story. After a loooooooooooong no PMO event (a year and seven months), I cracked and started masturbating from time to time, but never to porn. Then a few months later I went through a period where I was having a horrible time getting to sleep. I upped my masturbation as a way to help get to sleep at night. Then came a period where I had to be away from home for a while for some work training. I was still having a horrible time sleeping and that was compounded by being away from home. So then I started using masturbation as a crutch but was having a hard time getting to the finish line so to speak and I started looking at porn (telling myself I'd stop as soon as I got back home). Well, I get home and low and behold, I find myself watching porn for absolutely no goddam good reason and my wife calls me out on in!!! I'm 18 days in on a no porn reboot and I'm going strong. Just wanted to share an experience that highlights how these things can sneak up on you if you're not careful!

“In the irresistible logic of guilt, one evil leads to another, one sin is developed out of another. There is nothing abrupt, nothing casual in the process. The road to sin is smooth, because an army of transgressions has passed over it. When such a development takes place, the community is filled with consternation. Men meet each other and say, "Have you heard what has happened? Mr. A. has turned out a defaulter. Mr. B. has been robbing his bank. How could he have done it?" Alas! he did it long ago, when he took the first step, when he diverged a very little way from the path of right. After that, every other step was easy, natural, and logical.”
