Regaining my stride.

    Hello All,
    I joined this community because I realized that I simply cannot do this alone. Trust me I have tried. I would make it to a week, 2 weeks and sometimes only a couple of days before I would fall short and give in to these urges and addictions. Things got to the point where I a straight male, found myself looking at and enjoying gay porn, simply because I felt like I had pretty much exhausted every other category on my favored site and that was the only option left...that for me was my rock bottom...(no offense to anyone within the LGBT community).
    So I'm here...seeking the help necessary to regain my stance and keep progressing forward. I look forward to any tips toward removing temptations or distracting myself.

    Thank you! Will check it out now. And thank your for reassuring me about the no judgement. This is the first time i'm finally opening up about it and seeking help rather than fight a losing battle with my self in secret.

    Welcome to the site. It not unusual for our addiction to get out of control. Addiction never goes away on it's own... it always escalates and gets worse. Many times it takes a rock-bottom moment that cuts through all our delusional thinking before we wake up and try something new in order to get better. Recovery is possible... follow the suggestions of others and take it one day at a time. I wish you success on your journey.

    Thank you my friend! And it truly was that rock bottom moment that brought me to this point! Looking forward to finally being clean for 90 days, then push for 180 and just keep going.

    As you continue along your journey on NoFap, you will see others whose struggles not as difficult as your and you will others whose struggle is much more difficult than yours. The common denominator is NoFap. This is the place where you can share your worst and know we will encourage you from there to a place where you are a better you.
