    Three days is my new record. I was bombarded by fantasies but my defence line was tight.

  8. Sure can I join you guys, however I am already doing this challenge with myself so let me just think about it for a sec :D
    The rules I apply are already stricter than the ones in this challenge. @Rising Force , you already know them but for completeness I will state them below:

    In addition to the rules for the 180-day extreme mode challenge (not a very extreme challenge I would say), I have added:
    * No sexual activities whatsoever except with my wife
    * No sexual fantasies when I’m awake. I must stop all fantasies asap
    * No nocturnal emission
    * No dreams (that I remember) about watching porn when I’m asleep.
    * Sexual fantasies that does not include watching porn is OK when I’m asleep

    I think these rules are more or less the rules in this challenge with the addition that porn is not allowed in your dreams. A very interesting thing I noticed recently is that you are actually able to control this. From the habit changer challenge, I have a rule that says that when I think about something that I don't want to think about, I will scan my environment to get something else to think about asap. This makes all unwanted thoughts to get unrooted, they disappear before they are hard to get rid of.

    This rule has led me to stop fantasies immediately all the time and it works very good, so good it is already a stable habit. Now, just a few nights ago, I started to dream about I was going to watch porn. Immediately my habit kicked in and turned that dream around to something completely different. It was such a nice feeling - I saw it coming, felt the feeling, the habit woke up immediately and got me look around in the dream and made me switch focus immediately before anything ever happened.

    That said, you are actually able to control what is happening in your dreams! You just have to try very hard to control what you do when you start to think about the things you don't want to think about.

    Let me give you another example: Suppose you look at your white wall. It feels nothing in your mind. No feelings arise, nothing happens. So little things are happening, your mind will wander away to something else. You don't have to worry about the thought of your white wall will get hard to get rid of since it doesn't wake any feelings in your body or mind. Now, suppose instead you see a cookie in your kitchen. Something inside you tells you that you should eat that cookie and something else tells you you should not. Suddenly you have feelings in your head and the only thing these feelings can do to you is to take control over your rational mind. If you continue to think about "should I, should I not", it's just a matter of time before you take that damn cookie just to give in to your feeling. The same goes with all feelings. As soon you start to think about something that wakes feelings, it gets harder for you to let go of this thought. The stronger the feeling, the harder it is to let go of it. Now, if you start to take action as soon as you feel the slightest amount of a certain feeling you do not want, you will work your hardest to get something else to think about as fast as possible. In this way, you will let go of unwanted thoughts before they start to evolve into strong feelings.

  11. It's how many weeks you have accomplished. If you make a week, you start the next from zero. (Or from one, I should probably say. You know, all over again.) And if you reset, you reset only the ongoing week. I tried to explain this idea in my first post. I hope this helps us in being honest to ourselves and get the benefit of the pursuit.

    Thanks for checking in on me brother. All is going well. I’m in the calm before the storm for sure!

    I rarely sleep so well. My body must like working out at night! :)

  14. I didn't make a statement about it because I personally didn't find it that relevant for me. For example, I can't really remember ever having had a dream where I would have been watching porn. Of course we have dreams that we don't remember anything about, but anyway.

    But I guess your dreams can indicate something about what your awake hours thoughts are focused on. So, in case you were having such dreams, it could mean that there's something to reconsider in your habits and thought patterns.

    It's kind of same thing with nocturnal emissions, which I didn't mention either. I wanted to concentrate on things you definitely have control over. However, I think your actions can increase the chance of a nocturnal emission. For example, by edging and constantly being aroused you certainly make it more likely for a wet dream to happen. But in that case, you should reset anyway.


    Let's play that cookie game. I win if I don't eat it, otherwise I fail. But when is that victory going to be realized? It's never really, especially if you make the analogy with pmo. There can't be such a moment of win, because what if you ate the cookie just a little bit later? You can only lose, not win, in this game.

    How many hours, or days, or weeks of not eating the cookie is enough if a single thought is capable of twisting your mind at some point? There should be nothing to negotiate on this subject in your mind. That's the only long lasting route as far as I can see.
