Hi I just want to ask what does monk mode means?
also I've seen people with the longest streaks shos on their counter 500+ days. Does the counter stops at 500 days plus?
Could that not be like counter forever for as long as the days you are away from pmo because I think it will be much helpful if the counter is like really the number of days you are away from pmo not like would stop at 500 + days.

Monk Mode generally refers to when a user swears off all sexual activity for the duration of their reboot (thus going on Hard Mode) but in addition attempts to follow extreme disciplines in areas of their life outside the realm of NoFap. For example, they may try following a high-intensity workout regime or they may try intermittent fasting.

More information can be found on our Rebooting from Porn Addiction (https://www.nofap.com/rebooting/) page, about halfway down.

The counters intentionally stop at 500+ days. At that point in your reboot, counting the days is generally no longer useful or helpful. There are no plans to change how the counter works.

Thanks for the reply. But i gotta say that counting the exact days you are in even though more than 500 days is VERY HELPFUL. There are stilll people i see on their post they're like 3 years away from pm then they relapse and reset their counter
But if we are counting the number of days away from pmo even after more than 500 days we'll feel like it's more accurate and therefore we would be happy to continue to strive not to relapse because we're SEEING THE NUMBER OF DAYS literally and we are happy to see that.
There are people who wants to nofap for life. And therefore they WANT TO SEE their number of days away from pm or pmo in real time in order to be MORE MOTIVATED because we're seeing it real TIME.
imagine you're 500 days plus and you STOP Counting next thing happen you RELAPSE and you have to reset the counter.
Where does the 500 days + go? It went to NOTHING!!!
But if you LET US SEE OUR NUMBER OF DAYS AWAY FROM PMO OR PM OR DAYS WE'RE MEETING GOALS WE WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO SEE THAT AND MOTIVATED TO THRIVE AND STRIVE MORE!!!
So don't say TRACKING the exact number of days away from pmo or pm is no longer useful or helpful!

    Thanks for reading.
    Hope you make consideration.
    If not.
Then I just REALLY HOPE THAT you will be so happy with the way you live your life.
    God bless.

500+ days of abstinence never goes to nothing with a reset. It shows significant improvement in self-control and discipline and a major victory over pornography addiction.

We have not received any complaints from members who have reached the point of 500+ days on their counter. If it seems that many users with 500+ days desire precise tracking, a change might be considered. As it is, we have no plans to change the Day Counter.

Personally, I find it far more useful to not count the number of days. As you said, the number is just a big number, it doesn't indicate recovery from the addiction. If you want to read more about this alternate viewpoint, you can check out my journal.
