I only have one experience to go off of, well three in one night. It was my first time kissing and attempting to have sex. I didn't even realize there was a problem until I took my clothes off and looked down.. tried again later, nope. In the morning, NOPE.

I wanted to do it SOOOO bad, but I just couldn't. Like phwrancesco said, one experience can change your whole life. I get morning wood now and can get hard no problem with by myself or with porn, so I'm pretty sure it's not physical. But that doesn't change how it effects a young boy and what it does his mind and thoughts... and it certainly doesn't give me confidence for my next sexual encounter, if I'll ever even have one...

All I can do now is no PMO and hope for the best. No way I'm succumbing to dick pills, enhancers, or like GG2002 said, "implants", scary word right there.

  2. ED is brutal b/c we're basically told as a male culture that our manhood resides there. We're supposed to be hypersexualized beasts, chasing skirt and wooing Ladies out of their panties, to give them earth shattering orgasms over and over. So when we can't get it up due to performance anxiety or nervousness or awkwardness, it can leave a bruise or even a scar.

And when you're a porn addict who's viewed thousands of videos of big hard dicks relentlessly pounding vag after vag, it's like a double whammy when you can't get it up. You've been pretend-fucking girls so much, several times a day the real thing should be awesome! You should be able to hit it like those porn dudes. But what happens is you can't.

Porn keeps us impotent to the real thing so then we only have porn. And they make money off our impotence. Off our damaged confidence and our bruise egos.

Porn sells a lie and that lie is that sex has to be nasty and novel and degrading etc. It makes sex so different to normal sex and trains us like pavlovs dogs to not relate to normal sex anymore. Now that we have been trained/brain washed this way, we are now puppets/zombies who feed the growing sex industry. This one of the biggest crisis faced by society. Porn tells us to behave one way the media another and in all the confusion we are driven a little mad. Porn leads to erectile dysfunction and social anxiety so porn destroys any chance we have of getting a great sex life. Nobody believes this as we are taught it may teach us some tricks, spice things up a little, train us for real sex. All it does is turn us into impotent, socially awkward wankers. And still we go back to it. Why? Why? Why?

I hate to say this but if you don’t stop the pmo then I fear your relationships will continue to be the same. My ex had the same types of history as you do. Most women who love you will try to help and I think for a few years they try. But ultimately sex is a part of relationships for most people. The thing with pmo addicts is that they do have a sex drive and they do have a sex life its just not for or with a partner. So sex aside work when you do that you are creating a huge Barrier to emotional intimacy by keeping your sexuality separate from your partner. That relationship will never work. If you want a relationship you need the accept the porn and masturbation are gone from your life completely and forever. Unfortunately there is no other solution .

  7. I have had ED almost all my life, I still felt the same urge to have sex and often got frustrated that I could not perform.

Yes, you are wrong on this. There are plenty of fun sex things that don't require erections. they may be so good that you get an erection at last! Ask your partner to be patient with you and use hands and tongue to satisfy her. Put her pleasure first as a gentleman should.

And don't listen to people who tell you that you shouldn't use medication. You don't even know for sure why you have ED. Go see a doctor. There may be physical reasons, there may be psychological ones. The blue pills can work wonders and make you and your partner happy.

In my case, I do get the desire to have sex. But when it does not want to work, it doesn't want to work, period. And as others have said, that kind of messes up with your desire because now you kind of expect that it won't work properly and you don't go into sex as wild and unchained as before. Now all your thoughts are going around whether or not you are going to be able to get an erection. When you are making out and it still is not getting hard, then you think, "maybe if I take her clothes off it will do the trick" and you go down on her with your tongue and it might get half hard and you finally decide to put it in her, and then after a little while of intercourse you start to feel it getting soft again and you're like "owwh fuck" so yeah it kind of messes up with your desire, because nobody desires to be in that situation every time they are going into sex. But yes I do want sex. That is why porn can serve as an escape because it gives you the satisfaction and you don't have to deal with all the awkward stuff involved. You jerk off, orgasm with a hard on or without, and then you're good. That's why it's so hard to stay away from it sometimes. Although now I am on my early 30s and I can say that I am not as hungry for sex as I used to be on my 20s, but I guess that is normal.

I completely understand this way of thinking, but that isn't going to stop me from doing a complete reboot. Not only for my brain, but for my entire life in general. Many things need to change if I expect change and expect the most from myself!

Good for you. I have also been able to stay away from porn for quite some time. And also trying to reduce masturbation a lot and I've seen some improvements, which I am glad about, though still not what I would consider fully recovered. But let's keep on trying and see if I ever get there. It's the start of a new year, so let's go for those resolutions.
