    I'd start with the basics:
    1) Your bed is for sleeping only.
    2) (If applicable) your couch is for sitting only.
    3) Give up sleeping on your stomach for the time being. If this requires you to buy different pillows for comfort or whatever, so be it.
    4) Practice good sleep hygiene techniques to minmize time you are laying in bed.
    5) When you inevitably wake up lying down, turn over. Make that free will choice.

    Hi MarinoBigFan1984. I also used to masturbate in prone position. I first masturbated when I was very young and before I knew what it was or that it was sexual in nature. It just kind of happened. After I found out about masturbation when I was older, the thought of taking my penis in my hand and stroking seemed really weird (still does, to be honest) and I always stuck with humping the mattress.

    I don't know what your sleeping habits are like, but if you can sleep on your back, sparkywantsnoPMO's advice. If, like me, you can't sleep unless it's on your stomach, you will have to tough it out. One thing that helps me is to have alternative habits at night and in the morning. For example, at night I play Candy Crush and listen to music or a podcast. When I run out of lives I go to sleep without any problems. Waking up is worse for me, but I find that starting the day with a motivational video related to NoFap (e.g. Universal Man) helps to get my mind where it should be.

    1.Refrain yourself from watching any explicit content before sleeping.
    2. Don't masturbate using prone masturbation ever.
    3. Try to sleep in such a way that your d*ck doesn't touch the mattress.

    I had been prone masturbating since I was about 8 or 9. I stopped consistently prone masturbating after high school but came back to it from time to time. The last time that I masturbated in the prone position was probably about 9 months ago. I don't plan to do it ever again.
    However, I have had trouble finding a comfortable position to sleep in where my penis doesn't touch the mattress. I can rarely ever fall asleep laying on my back. My usual position is on my side, but leaning at less of an angle towards the bed. Now, I don't use that position in any type of sexual way (prone for me included a pillow) but I wonder if added pressure on the penis while sleeping is as harmful to the sexual health of the unit as standard prone masturbation.

    I used to be a "fan" of prone masturbation. It is the worst thing you can do to your dick. You do not need to reboot longer, but you should never masturbate like that. If you want to fap, do it conventionally.

    Personally, completely stopping prone masturbation has helped me achieve better streaks, as in most of the cases I was just scrolling instagram feed while on my bed, and I would end up relapsing.

    I would say you do not need to change your sleeping position etc. Instead, research prone masturbation and check posts about it. You will realize the damage it does to your penis and the potential destruction of your sexual life and will never want to do it again.

  12. Prone position has been my go to technique for as long as I can remember but now I've realized the harm it can do and have decided to stop it.

    I've gone back to it a few times but I've found myself doing it less these days.

    No guys it should not be an option.

    Look into it, search the web. I saw a post on reddit, were a chronic 30-year old prone masturbation user was told by a doctor that he has a sexual health of a 60-year old.

    Complety cut down on it, otherwise you will regret.

    I M-ed in the prone position all my life until recently. I did a once-per-day regimen of regular M for 1 month straight (as suggested by healthystrokes) and was able to quit prone with surprising ease. It was odd for the first few times, but I had the help of P or P fantasy.

    That didn't help my problems and ultimately led me here. I do, however, believe that the sensations with prone M are nothing like PIV sensations, which regular M does more accurately represent.

    Obviously don't try to M the normal way if you're in a reboot, though.

    I've read a number of these posts about prone masturbation & I'm at a total loss: help me understand what the hell is this? Lying flat on the bed or couch or whatever & wanking? .... or humping?     Basically, yeah - humping the bed (or pillow for some folks). A small proportion (less than 10%) of males learn to M this way and don't know any better. It makes sense when you think about it - some young guys sleeping on their stomachs and discovering friction that feels good. The problem it creates is an excessive amount of pressure on the base of the penis, which is a sensation that is not duplicated in actual sex.

    Ok, you have my attention - I'd like to help in some way, lay it on me..... so you've done this since you were young, and you still love it - have you tried the "grip" method I mentioned? Have you ever had sex with someone, especially insertion? This manner would feel similar to the "fist" method. The fist provides friction and pressure to the whole penis and gives stimulation all around it as well as the entire length. Does this not feel good? Please forgive me if I ask dumb questions..... perhaps your liking of the prone method isn't logical. I'm a logical guy who likes to use objective thought and reason to try to figure things out.

    Yes I've had sex. I use a soft pillow. I can't even remember when I started it. The orgasms are very intense. I may use my hand to get erect but then go prone. You can usually ejaculate in seconds. I actually first noticed my ED because it took much longer than usual to ejaculate. I think that's why I like handjobs because only women have stroked me to orgasm vs myself. Most of us also close our eyes when we masturbate. I don't use porn to masturbate just warm up. Even then most times I can fantasize myself to orgasm.
