Do anybody have idea on crime around the world like rape, gangrape, child abuse etc., do Porn triggers people's to do such things?

  2. Lots disagree but I’m fully convinced that porn has influenced many to commit sex crimes. Not everyone that is a porn addict will go in that direction but some do. Many of the people in prison for sex crimes had quite a bit of hardcore porn in their homes when investigators conducted their searches for evidence.

Porn is a result when your thoughts obsess on perverted forms of sex. It feeds the part of your mind that obsesses over thoughts every day, hour, and minute.

Here is the result: people on this page (and other pages) report that they 'cannot stop thinking' of something. That is the dangerous part, if that 'something' is obsessing over someone, you will follow them, want them, and break personal boundaries getting to them. Rape, violence, pedophilia, and many others are common results of this harmful obsession. I am convinced as @HopeForBrightFuture

  4. Yes. Porn can seriously affect your brain and be the strong factor leading to crime, cheating, procrastinate, objectification of women and other teribble stuff.

  5. Pornography is an influencer and an enabler for some people. When people want to mimick what they see or have developed a perversion which has gone beyond safe boundaries then problems usually arise with things like consent, violence, coerscion etc. You could say the same thing about drugs and alcohol, not everyone who consumes those things go on to commit crimes but they can often be a catalyst, helping to motivate towards a harmful act.

If pornographic website has been banned completely is there any probability to reduce such crimes?

You will get many opinions but no real way to study that theory. I guess u could go back to statistics before the age of porn websites and compare them to now, but are crimes really being committed more today then in the past or is technology just better at catching people? I saw a star that our city reported 2500 speeding violations in 2015 and then installed traffic cameras and reported over 8000 violations in 2017....did the crime increase or has it always been that high but the technology that catches them just enhanced??

  10. Banning porn would be ineffective as there are so many ways to get around it. Porn will always be there. That is a reality that has to be accepted.

Yes there is some really shitty violent porn that should not exist. I can imagine that this stuff can be a stimulating factor for violent sexual crime. But it would be a factor amongst many others.

Porn, especially violent porn should be criticised, but one should not fall for the simplistic and false idea that the porn is the sole culprit. That would be as silly as those arguments that first person shooting games are responsible for mass shootings or that Heavy Metal is the sole cause for teen suicide and ritual murder.

  11. I agree and I feel it's inline with what I stated. Not everyone that watches will get into violence IRL, but it has influenced some to do so. And I think that there are other factors involved before someone actually does the illegal deed, what ever it might be. And of course people get into violence without porn in their lives.

As far as banning it? I hate to admit it but I think banning it would drive it all "underground" and lead to some terrible consequences (and yes I know there already is "underground" porn). I say keep the porn on the clearly marked porn sites and those that continue to look at it can go and look at what they want.

I say this as a man that had a 40 year porn addiction and frequented a lot of sites. I hate it now. But I realize that we need to be realistic about it. We can't force people to stop watching porn. We can only decide what's best for ourselves.
