Hi guy´s. I need your help. Must say I really appreciate this forum and the people that is here.

So... my life is really a mess. I can´t get up in the morning and I can´t enjoy life. I can sleep over 15 (!) hours a day and the time I´m awake I usually hate my life and just wanna die. When I started taking a medicine that is a dopamine stabilizer (As you all probably know porn realeses alot of dopamine and ´fuck-up your brains dopamine receptors or something like that´...) a week ago I started to feel alot better. It was like going from a non-human being to a living person. I began to enjoy life! And everything was fun again...

The negative stuff was that the medicine had strong side effects and that it now, one week later, hasn´t the effect it had in the beginning. I can understand that my opportunity is to have a better medicine...

But what I wonder is if some people have the same `side effects´ of an porn addicted that I described in the beginning. Is this porn induced? Or am I ´mentally exhausted/have ´vicarious traumatization´ (don´t know what it´s called in english... btw..)? I have used porn on and off for about 20 years. But I´ve never been an everyday user.

Also I´m aware of if I´m in the wrong section (in this forum) or if I ´stir in this community´. I just want to get back to life!

I can say that I use to feel so awkward that I often want to ´get rid of this life´.

    Nofap. Peace.

Look man, I've been putting off writing this for a while, but since no one is actually writing anything, I feel like I have to.

I recommend you to pick up Christianity, start reading the Bible,.. etc. I don't want to push religion on you but for many people, including me, it is a source of hope and love, which is what you might need. I occasionally start hating my self or at least I did until I went more into Christianity and realized my identity in Christ.
If you need any help or just want to talk, PM me. I couldn't really understand if you are suicidal or not, but if you are, please get some professional help as well.
    Have a super nice day,
    gottagetback. :)

  3. So, how long have you been addicted? And how long have you been attempting reboot? What’s you’re highest streak and what’s your average streak.

I’ll tell you know if you have a severe case, it will take awhile, maybe a year of nofap. Your brain has changed and to change it back will take it as long as it to to change it for the worse originally. 90 days is a very arbitrary number, but it’s a start, a good start.

If you’re not experiencing life to the fullest, then porn may have taken the color out of everything which many have attested to have gone through. I myself have attempted reboot for 3 years and gone a month 3 times and the rest are weeks or less and I’m no where near full recovery. Gauge my journey with yours and see how things are.

Good luck brother, peace love and positivity to you! Message me if need be!

  4. Porn really does suck all the flavor from real life and makes it seem bland. Give your mind and body a fighting chance to heal itself. Naturally. I don't think drugs are the answer. Just do NOFAP.

  5. I agree, drugs should be last resort at most. Try nofap and try to get 90 days and see if anything changes, if changes do occur, keep going!

Also remember, this journey will have its up and downs, so it’s normal to feel good one week and bad the next, but overall things should feel like it’s improving but probably very slightly

Seriously. Just 10 years ago it would've been considered absurd for any young person to be even thinking about enhancement drugs. Our ancestors never needed them, why should you?

Quit masturbating to porn and any other artificial sexual stimulation and you're bound to return to a healthy balanced life or start one. It just may take longer than you think, but it might not as well

  7. These are symptoms of depression. I haven't heard much of that sort of talk in the short time I've been on the various nofap/YBOP/RBN places. The "just wanna die" part is especially concerning.

(Or they could be porn withdrawal. Or both.)

If you got the first dopamine enhancer from a psychiatrist, that would be the guy to talk to. If not, a psychiatrist may still help you sort out what is what.

Just be aware that many the psych medications have side effects, as did that first one - many of them interfere with sexual function, so don't take them lightly.

Sorry for late answer. I´ve never been seeing myself as an addicted since the day I started nofap. My longest streak is the 46 days (since I started).

  9. The title of this thread catches me every time I see it. It's so much what I feel happened to me. I turn 63 in February - I've been using porn since I was old enough to buy it. So 50+ years.

I didn't have ED until last year after I started using lots of video porn, but I've had DE forever.

You didn´t think that this has something to do with your age? =)
    If I were 63 I wounldn´t concern about ED. =)

  11. I was hard as a rock at 61. And very much not at 62.

    Only 2 things changed:
    1. Much more porn use, especially much more video porn
    2. 2 New medications.

Since I can still get it up to porn, I don't think it's the medication.

And I can guarantee you, if you make it to 63, you will very much care if you have ED with women you want to be with.
