I used k-9 for awhile, but so many loopholes there. Now i have net nanny and k-9. Between the two, i can’t see much of anything. So it works nicely if you have both.

The two things I've started to use only recently:

TimeProtect - It's not a porn filter, though it does what it suggests and protects your valuable time. It's been programmed very well so it locks the internet connection on your PC or your entire PC (cannot login) for the time periods you set. If you want to change the settings there are several restrictions on offer which make it time consuming to change your settings.

I think what gets a lot of porn addicts in trouble is aimlessly surfing the internet, which leads to trouble. If you can heavily restrict your internet usage then it can help with recovery.

TimeProtect comes at a cost though it can be tried for free for a few days.

OpenDNS - Has a great porn filter system and the basic version is free.

  6. The default filter on iOS is pretty good. So if you have Mac, iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch I'd encourage you to use it.

  8. I use something called "FocusMe". It costs like $30/year though I think :( You can basically block whatever websites you want for any period of time by creating plans. You can password-protect it, but that's too easy to bypass. But there is a mode called "forced" mode, to where you can't disable the plan until the end date you have set. Like, you can set it up so you can't change your time/preferences on your computer or your user preferences. I think there is even an option to forbid uninstalling the program until the plan is complete.

Unfortunately, I'm still struggling, though. I mean, yea, my favorite porn websites are impossible to access on my computer for the next month (I am doing the plan on a month by month basis). But there are sites that I have to have access to for things like communication, so there are still many stumbling blocks for me.

  13. Is there a software/addon that grants you let's say 50 hours of Internet per month regardless of the websites and when you reached 50 hours it'll block your Internet?

On android you must install "Spin Browser". The best anti-porn browser ever.
